Upon arriving at the restaurant, one is immediately captivated by the serene beauty of the lake it overlooks. The shimmering waters reflecting the sun's glow, the tranquility of the setting, all promise an experience that could have been so memorable. Unfortunately, this potential is starkly contrasted by the less than stellar experience that awaits within.
Aesthetics aside, our dining experience took a sharp downhill turn right from the get-go. Upon placing an order online for the convenience it supposedly offered, I was met with an unexpected surprise upon arrival. The restaurant, it seemed, didn't hold up their end of the deal. In a surprising turn of events, they informed me that their online order timings were incorrect and they "don't accept orders." This lack of accurate information and communication was the first red flag.
The blatant disregard for customer convenience doesn't stop there. The service, particularly from an older staff member, was less than satisfactory. Rude and unaccommodating, her demeanor did little to alleviate the frustration caused by their mishandling of online orders. The curt responses and dismissive attitude were a stark contrast to the welcoming ambiance one might expect in such a setting.
Moving on to the food, the menu seemed promising at first glance. A variety of dishes that should have tantalized the taste buds, unfortunately, fell flat on their promise. The food, to put it plainly, was disappointing. The flavors lacked complexity and depth, leaving a lot to be desired. The dishes were uninspired and the quality of ingredients seemed questionable. It was as if the kitchen was more focused on getting food out the door rather than ensuring that what they served was up to par.
Overall, the whole experience at this restaurant on the lake was a letdown. The charm of the setting was overshadowed by the poor customer service, the miscommunication around online orders, and the subpar food. If you're looking for a lakeside dining experience, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. The restaurant's shortcomings are too significant to overlook, even with the stunning backdrop of the lake.
To the management of the restaurant, I would strongly recommend investing in staff training, especially around customer service, and rectifying the online ordering process. In a competitive industry where dining experiences are just as important as the food served, these issues are significant drawbacks that cannot be ignored.
Would I recommend this restaurant? Sadly, no. The potential for a great lakeside dining experience is there, but until these glaring issues are addressed, it's a hard...
Read moreNot a good experience. I can’t understand all the good reviews unless people have never had good Mexican food before. Overall, just ok but the ‘ok’ part is mostly bc of the nice views of the lake. Food is not good. $11 for a margarita served in a plastic cup on the rocks. Must pay for chips and salsa, have never seen that at a Mexican restaurant. Guacamole was terrible. $13 for shrimp taco dinner would be reasonable, except these tacos each had only 4 very small shrimp. They looked like full tacos but once I starting eating I realized it was all cole slaw. Had to dig through to find any shrimp. Rice was not homemade, definitely not authentic, tasted like the stuff out of a box. I guess if there is nowhere else to eat and you’re looking for a nice view this would be ok, just keep in mind you’ll be disappointed. Service left much to be desired. Server rude, my husband asked a question which I guess was already answered on the menu but he didn’t see it and she pretty said he couldn’t read. Also, never offered us second drinks on a 90 degree day. By the way, they were not busy so this couldn’t be used as an excuse. Disappointed for what we paid. Photo below to show size of shrimp. Additionally, parking is across the street, where cars fly around a curve and this is very dangerous. If you are handicap or have small children, please proceed...
Read moreI read some of the reviews and didn't expect much, but this was much better food than the reviews led me to think.
I had the marinated steak fajitas. They were seasoned very well and had tons of flavor. Steak was good quality and plenty of meat and veggies. My family had a mix or tacos and burritos and they all loved it. I had the Margaritas especially, it was very tasty but a bit pricy.
Look this isn't the Ritz Carlton, but it's just all around solid Mexican with a great atmosphere and view of the lake.
We came in by boat and they had plenty of space and boat parking available.
The only small downside was it seemed they were short staffed, we sat down and waited about 10-15 minutes before being contacted. The bartender was serving us and had tables all over the place and you could tell he was busy, but he did a great job. I think his name was Jaylen. We did see another table leave after not being greeted and they told us they had been waiting about 30 minutes. I'm glad we decided to wait though. It...
