7 months ago I provided 5 star reviews (see below), unfortunately a business is also judged by how they handle an issue relating to an order. On that regard Fat Boy Pizza has failed. When a person calls and place an order for Veggie Pizza & says put all vegetables you have in it, this dosent mean the person wants "supreme" none Kosher pizza full of pork products! Our saving grace was we ordered cheese pizza which our family ate. Fat Boy Pizza response was sorry but this what we wrote down. Not how we can make it better? I would have been more than happy to bring wrong pizza back to them and get what I ordered but they wanted nothing to do with that! While we have enjoyed their pizza in the past and knowing we are supporting local biz, I will no longer be ordering from them & I'll stick with Papa John's pizza.
Review from Jun 2020 5 stars After living in the neighborhood for almost 14 years, we finally got introduced to Fat Boys Pizza during the quarantine. And boy oh boy, what we were missing all thses years ordering from Franchises. From pizza taste to getting it actually hot to friendly staff, this has become our go to Pizza place. Sorry we didn't discover it earlier. Only draw back no delivery, but it's worth it to drive up even during pool...
Read moreWas very excited to try this place since I heard great things about it.
Unfortunately, the raves and reviews I heard from friends and online, didn't hold up in my opinion.
While i like a good thin crust pizza that offers that crunch and a little char taste you look for in a thin crust, this is nowhere close. The only part of the pizza that had ANY texture or taste to it was the very outside edges where the crust got a char and the toppings caramelized enough to give it SOME flavor. Once you get past that, the crust turns into a noodle like consistency with no flavor and just falls/slips out from the toppings.
As far as the rest of the pizza goes......the sauce had VERY little taste, and I couldn't even taste the meat they used on it. The only thing I could taste was the green peppers, mushrooms, black olives, and tomato.
They DO pile the toppings on, and like most people I like a pizza with a lot of toppings, but in my opinion, if you're going load them on like that, at least build a crust/base that will stand up to it.
The 2 star rating is for the friendliness of the staff, price for product, and the timely manner in which they...
Read moreConstructive Criticism: The standard amount of cheese used on your pizzas, should be what you would put on if someone ordered a pizza with "extra cheese". All that unnecessary cheese creates a single layer, which, when bitten into, pulls everything else with it. Use less cheese so that when a bite is taken, the surrounding cheese tears and you have a nice clean bite. The breadsticks could use a light season of some sort. The money you save using less cheese could go towards the seasoning. Yes, I understand people like extra cheese in general, so a lot of people may not like the idea of less cheese if they're used to more cheese. But in a business you take and give, as well as trial and error. I did not enjoy the taste of the pizza or breadsticks. I am a first time customer, so i will not...
