Yup. Gerace's pizza is insane.
I ordered a 10'' bacon chicken ranch pizza, no alterations, plus a $3 slice of limoncello mascarpone cake. I was asked to wait 1 hour, 15 minutes for my delivery and it arrived after only 45 minutes. The kind gentleman who delivered my pizza was polite, and when told I'd never ordered from Gerace's before, assured me that I'll like the food. I could smell the pizza as I opened the door to greet him. The smell was amazing.
The pizza itself is gorgeous, sides slightly curled up and the thick crust a beautiful toasted color. The sauce is liberal, but not overpowering. The pieces of bacon in the pizza are flavorful and often, and likewise with the white meat chicken. The cheese does that commercial-worthy "stringy" thing when you remove a slice. The crust is crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Truly a lovely, hearty pizza.
The generous slice of limoncello mascarpone cake smells of real lemon and cream. The white cake is dense and moist. The entire slice is beautiful as well, with shavings and curls of white chocolate decorating the top. Rich, with a genuine and delicate lemon tang.
All in all, the price of the pizza, cake, plus tip amounted to around $23. I've ordered less from certain chains in the area and been landed a $30+ price for very sub-par pizza. I definitely can't wait to order Gerace's other dishes sometime soon. I do love me some lobster ravioli... Or, perhaps the fettuccine alfredo...? But the tiramisu DOES sound divine...! Ahh heck, it's probably all worth it! Try them out for yourself, and in the understated words of the gentleman who delivered my order; "Well, you'll...
Read moreWe were there on Wednesday the 17th of May, 2017. We walked in, the place was empty, and we sat down at a table. After 15 minutes, I went up and asked for 2 menus, she gladly gave me 1, not 2. Another 10 minutes pass, I finally asked the girl to take our order. We ordered the Bomb pizza, and 2 sprites. About 5 minutes pass, the waitress says from behind the counter, "You can get your bottles of Sprite from the cooler whenever ".....ok, I have to walk past her to get our drinks. Now, for the next 52 minutes, one customer comes in to get a pizza carry out, no other dine in customers come in. We can here 2 girls giggling loudly from the kitchen, and a young guy that occasionally looks out at us, but not one of them check on us. Our pizza comes out 53 minutes after we order it, and immediately it smells burnt. We lift it up, and the bottom is black, we call the girl out to the table and she gets the young guy. He tells us the dough is fresh daily, and the Bomb pizza has too many ingredients on it to not burn before the toppings are cooked. We tell him It would have been nice to know that up front. We tell him we cannot eat it, so he says he will take off the Sprites! Wow, really. We asked for the owner, but they said they don't know how to reach him, or where he is. So our bill came to $37 dollars, and they charged us $33. We paid $33 dollars for two 16oz Sprites, and a single bite of a pizza slice. We left there and had fast food down the road. DO NOT EVER...
Read moreThis place has only children working for them. I waited 35 minutes for one sandwich! I went in at 25 minutes only to be told they have to remake it because they forgot to spray to pan. I'm not mad that they were all teenagers, I'm mad there was no adult supervisor to keep them in line. There should have been no giggling in the back to the point people at the register can hear everything they are saying when people are waiting 35 minutes for one sandwich. They were literally giggling about my food while I was standing there waiting! About to "stop touching", "it's fine leave it". Still gave them to benefit of the doubt and still took the food, even though they forgot my tiramisu. But brought it straight back after tasting the sandwich, it's just plain bad, no care was put into it. When I went to return the food they were telling a to go order he had to wait and extra 15 minutes because they didn't have cheese right now. Through this all they only received one to go order the whole time I'm sitting there, so for sure are not busy and there were at least 5 people in there so not a staffing issue. Just plain disappointed Goshen deserves better than that, we need more good pizza places. Oh and to note the comments about hair in the food has not been remedied, there were no hair nets or gloves being used. I literally watched flies crawl all over one staff members salad that was sitting at the table behind...
