Hometown Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Indiana

It took the waitress almost 10 minutes to get our drink orders, which by then, we already knew what food we wanted. When I asked about a couple of items on the menu, the waitress just said "I'm not sure." She could have found out the answers but had no interest. We just ordered what we were familiar with since we were in a hurry... especially since it took her so long to take our orders. My daughter and I both, ended up having to get our food "to go" because, by the time she brought it to us, I had to leave for work. I didn't get to eat mine until later that evening. I've visited hometown a few times over the past few years. If you're looking for a small town diner with a loyal customer base and atmosphere that is quite simply hard to replicate, you've got the right place. Food has been super solid on each and every visit. The waiting staff has been kind and attentive, which is much appreciated. The prices are fair and I always walk out feeling like I got my money's worth. The bathrooms, while small, is surprisingly clean for such a hole in the wall establishment. I'm leaving a review almost exclusively because it would be an absolute shame to see this place close. 10/10,...

The waiter was very arrogant and rude. He did not want to give us time to read the menu before ordering, didn't refill drinks, was stuck up couldn't even talk to you when asked a question such as "what is the soup of the day", walked us off when asking for to go boxes or a straw. After bring the food out he never came back and checked on us and when we paid he snatched the money. I would definitely not suggest this restaurant to anyone. It's sad because a cute little family diner like this won't be able to keep business if costumers are...
