McDonald's — Restaurant in Indiana

Horrible experience this morning in the drive through. Took forever to be able to place my order...that should have been my que to leave then. Finally get the order placed and paid, only one car ahead of me. Get to the window and then was promptly given out drinks and asked to pull forward to wait. Did so...and waited ...and waited... and waited. Then the vehicle in front of me got their order. By this point the entire drive through was full and the line extended around the building that I could see the last four vehicles in said line. While continuing to wait I saw no less than six cars slow down to pull in, only to then take off when seeing the line. Still waiting... Then, cars behind me in line start pulling out with their orders. First one, then two, by the fifth one and 18 minutes waiting out front later I went in. Yes I used foul language, yes I wasn't nice...this is fast food, not fine dining. An egg McMuffin, three breakfast burritos, and three hash browns should not take almost a half hour from the time of order until food is served. Kudos to the manager who matched my energy and slammed my bag of food on the counter. Next time I will absolutely do what the kind older gentleman who approached me in the lobby suggested. His exact words to me were "Son, you ain't got the nerve. You never leave that window until you get your food. I don't care what they tell you. Shut your car off and wait right there. I promise, they'll get your food to you a lot quicker. I have had managers tell me I'm rude for doing so, but this is supposed to be fast food". I shook his hand and wished him and his wife well. And I promise, next time I will do just that. I don't pay for "fast" food companies to to have artificially good drive through times. I'll wait from now on, just like that gentleman suggested. As for this McDonald's, it will be a long time before I go back there.

Update: Thought I would try it again, not even close to any better. Held my ground and stayed at the window this time only for them to say that I was blocking other customers from being able to order and that they were purposefully not going to serve me my food. More than 10 minutes at 1:30 pm for a quarter pounder meal, a two cheeseburger meal, and two McChickens. Got a refund on my order, when a quarter mile down the road to Wendy's and was served within 3 minutes and on my way home. Exactly what fast food should be. By all means do not go to this McDonald's, not only is a service absolutely horrible, but the staff working there do not look to create a customer service experience but rather just want to start...

2-28-2025 it was late about 8:50pm we went to go in the lobby and the door was locked as we saw people inside working. No times were posted anywhere so my husband and I went to the drive thru we ordered one McChicken add pickle, large fries with ranch, small shamrock ☘️ shake, two #5's m nuggets meal and Dr pepper to drink mind you the girl at the first window even asked us what we wanted to drink w the meals, then two cheeseburgers out total was $28.91 order number 1385 Fremont McDonald's #23144 KS#13 02/28/2025 time 8:57pm. We got to the second window and was told a wait for the fries 🍟 and nuggets, so we were given the shake, mcflurrie mm, no Dr peppers, when given our order a different lady said there was no meals for the nuggets. She told us she couldn't take another order at that window. And was told to drive around to reorder at the first window to reorder but this lady was nasty about well we closed at 9pm and everything is closing down so either drive around to first window to reorder. My husband and I just looked at each and drove away. There was no hours posted anywhere, the heavy set lady at the second window 🪟 was rude and nasty. My review this time has been the first and last time we ever go to the Fremont Indiana location and neither of the Angola Indiana McDonalds. Oh and more thing the cook frickin threw together the cheeseburgers...

Have you ever heard the term slow as molasses? At this particular time around 2:25 p.m. on January the 17th 2019 so did I accurately describe the time of my service here, it was absolutely terrible I ordered two Filet-O-Fish in a large fry when I got the fry till the car open it up it looked like a large box with a medium fry inside. Not to mention it took forever for them to get my order and I was the only one standing in the restaurant at the counter no exaggeration. There was two cashiers on drive-thru talking to each other the manager was talking to a co-manager right in front of the fryer and I'm standing there for what seem to be a good ten minutes before they decided they were going to get my order together I didn't say anything purposely so I wanted to see just how the customer service was without pressure. Notice McDonald's menu is getting more expensive but you're getting smaller amounts of food including smaller buns smaller patties and a half a piece of cheese on your Filet-O-Fish unless you want to pay for the other half that makes up a whole. I would not recommend this particular McDonald's restaurant as it doesn't seem important to them to take care of the orders in an...
