This past Friday, April 18th, my boyfriend and I stopped in around 3 to 4 p.m. apparently we sat in a bad spot behind a wooden pole, and no one seen us. People that came in after us were given menus, drinks, and had their order taken. So I finally went up to the bar and approached a blonde waitress and told her the situation. She got slightly snobby with me, trying to act polite though. We spent a lot of time waiting. It was so ironic when our waitress finally came to our table and told me that she had to take another table because they were there before us. I was thinking, how do you even know when we got here because no one even seen us? Lol anyhow, my boyfriend ordered a club sandwich and I decided to try the Italian beef for the first time. I have never in my life seen au jus look like this! It was absolutely terrible! It looks like someone dumped an entire bottle of oregano into it. And those are giant garlic chunks floating in it. So disgusting. I could not eat my food. I put the sandwich in a box to go. The actual sandwich is supposed to have au jus on it too, but the au jus on the sandwich was not the same as what was in the dish. I should have taken a picture of that too. It would have had oregano all over the sandwich. I’m not accusing anyone, but it makes me wonder if that one waitress was vindictive and did that? I’m not sure who to blame. If the cook did that, they need to get a new cook. I only normally get the fried cod, but I wanted to try something different. Their cod is usually good but I’m not sure with this cook. I’m not sure if they are new, or not. We got the crab, stuffed mushroom appetizer as well, and it was overbearing with garlic. More than usual, a lot more. Our waitress was really nice. I’m not sure of her name, but she offered to get our appetizer for us. I told her that wasn’t necessary, but she still did. I was also freezing my butt off in there. It’s always cold. It’s a bar setting, so bars like to keep it cool to keep the drinkers there drinking. Take a hoodie if you go there. I don’t know if I will ever dine in there again. I might get food to go. But honestly, I feel that they are overpriced for the quality anymore. The time before this past Friday that I was in there and I got fried cod to go, when I went to pick it up, I asked the waitress if there was tartar and lemon in the box. She opened it, checked it, and told me yes. I get home and there’s tartar, but no lemon. 🤦‍♀️ at this point, I feel like I’m generous giving three stars. I understand people make mistakes, but I waited tables for several years and you always look up and check the room to make sure the other people didn’t sit while you weren’t looking. It’s pretty simple really. And I feel all of that oregano, was no accident. If this would have been my first time there, I would never look back and never go there again, but I do know that they...

UPDATE: Major let down today. Service was still good, but our food choices weren't. Excited to try the gizzards, but I'm not a fan of them being soft and definitely not a fan of tempura batter. The "Final Final Burger" was simply OK. For a half pound burger I was anticipating it being much larger. Wasn't bad, but wasn't what I was hoping for. The cheese pizza was no longer "the best pizza in the universe" as my daughter had claimed before. Crust was tough and cheese was hard. Total disappointment. My wife got the Philly Sub and onion rings. Again, not a fan of tempura batter and the sub lacked flavor and pizzaz. As we left we decided we won't go out of our way to stop again. I know it has been around forever, but to drop $75 and it be mediocre at best isn't worth another look. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Have been by there numerous times, but parking lot was always full. I made it a point to get there when they opened today and glad I did. They filled up fast! The service is top notch. Everyone working together to make sure everyone was being taken care of. Erin was our main server and she was very kind, caring and upbeat. My daughter was excited to see they offered pizza and ordered accordingly. She took one bite and said, "This is the best pizza in the universe." I had their 3 piece cod with fries and cole slaw. It was very good. Everything was...

I haven’t been here in awhile and I usually come with a bigger party but tonight it was just the kids and I. Immediately all the staff looked at us and then each other as if they were internally voting on who was going to have to wait on us…? A single mom with two kids? She doesn’t have any money, she’s probably not even going to tip. (I didn’t hear anyone actually say this but the looks made me feel this way) then I thought we’ll maybe it’s my looks? I mean I don’t have makeup on but I did still have work clothes (business casual) it’s not like I was in sweatpants and a hoody, geez. We waited 10 mins before anyone even asked us for drinks. Other kids had crayons but my 4 year old was never even offered any. At this point I just wanted to eat. It’s Thursday so it’s itialian night and I was looking forward to the Alfredo only for it to come out cold and tasted a little burnt. On the bright side, my sons was made fresh and he really enjoyed it! To the waiter who “got stuck” with us, I hope you enjoy your tip even though I don’t think you truly earned it. I hope that you see that even if you treat people unfairly and prematurely judge them, that they can still be kind to you and do the right thing. I guess in the future I will stick with a larger party so that I can get...

Nine Mile Restaurant is near the crossroad of highway 27 and 469. So I don't get sick of biscuits and gravy, I'm going to use a half order as my control size. This plate has one biscuit cut in half and a generous amount of gravy. I asked my server about their gravy and she said it's made in house, with Tim Didier Meats sausage. There was a good amount of meat without being overwhelming. The gravy was smooth and creamy, and didn't taste as peppery as it looked. Half order cost $3.59 and a full order is $4.99. I also ordered the Western omelette with wheat toast. The Western has ham, green pepper, onion, and quite a bit of cheese. The eggs were fluffy and prepared well. I couldn't eat even half of it. Nine Mile opened in 1837. They serve breakfast everyday except Sundays from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. I did include photos of the breakfast and dinner menus. Looks like they're a ton of great items with good prices. My server today, Rosetta, was really friendly and checked back multiple times. Overall, a very solid visit. When I come back next time, what should I try? I've heard great things about the fish and the onion rings. #onforkstoforks #foodie #biscuitsandgravy
