Gip Got Tips — Restaurant in Indianapolis

I learned about gips got tips from following the black dolla Indy facebook page. I am Kansas born and raised but relocated to Indiana about 3 years ago and have been searching high and low for good BBQ!! I’ve tried a few places around the city but nothing compares to this!! I drive about 25 minutes from Fishers to Indianapolis but the food is always worth the the trip. Their customer service is ALWAYS on point and I’ve been back every week for the past month. I had my mom and her husband try it today (mom’s a big critic) and she absolutely loved her rip tip dinner! I did a walk in order today and waited in the car for about 10 minutes when a sweet young lady met me at the door to bring it out!! The price is reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. For about $22 I was able to get a rip tip dinner which included sauce on the meat, sauce on the side ($1 charge for the side of sauce) 2 sides (I chose double fries) and a bread slice. We spent $68 total for all 3 dinners with sides of sauce. Good price/quality and absolutely delicious!! The owner’s wife is very pleasant to speak with when I call to make sure they have what I want because they do sell out fast sometimes. I hope this business stays around for a long time. We had a BBQ pitch in for my job. At first they was talking about going to king ribs since we work on the west side on 16th & Crawfordsville rd. But our friend Britt suggested this to us. Definitely glad we ordered. I live on the east side & this will be my goto bbq spot! The meat first off smelled magnificent, the presentation was up to standard & the flavor was absolutely GREAT! When I say it will be a LONG TIME before I order anything from them again!! It’s the truth!! I placed an order a couple weeks ago and it wasn’t ready for another 20 minutes and they were really sorry But mad it right. Ordered Again today we ran late, I tried to call…no answer or response. They gave my paid for food away And we still didn’t receive the right order!!! If I don’t have time to wait I won’t preorder!!! Still no response Again from my call.
