This truck is flat out awesome! We stumbled upon them accidentally. Having vegan friends in town for a weekend, we always make sure to prepare vegan or visit vegan friendly places. Pizza is covered with King Dough and Futuro. And while I'd happily eat pizza the whole weekend...variety matters. That being said, we were shooting for brunch at 3 Carrots and had to pivot when they were closed hours earlier than advertised (given how they ended, I'm not upset by it). We found Good Vegan Bad Vegan and have been HUGE fans ever since! This isn't an incredible VEGAN food truck. This is an incredible FOOD TRUCK. Everything we've tried has been stellar! The cheeseburger, brat, Italian sausage, Chicago dog, gyro, chik'n & fries (an absolute must if you're any kind of mushroom fan), smoothies, cookies. There's not a damn thing on the menu thats a miss. I've had my fare share of meat alternatives, usually passable but not worth the money. But wherever they source their proteins (or make them themselves) they taste delicious! Not to mention the creativity with topping selection. Sport peppers, kraut, BBQ, and grilled onions on a brat? So good. I have no clue how they get such a nice char and flavor out of their burgers and sausages. Or how they can replicate the flavors or a gyro, including non-dairy tzatziki. But go if you have the chance. Vegan or not. FLAVOR matters and theyve got them dialed in. I'd love to see you all at the State Fair. Or Pride. Or Food Truck Festivals like Daredevil has hosted in the past. Maybe you have been there and you just weren't on my radar. But you are now I and ALWAYS look for an excuse to indulge any Saturday I...
Read moreMy visit to Good Vegan Bad Vegan was nothing short of delightful. The cheeseburger and fries I sampled were exceptional. The chargrilled soy-free, gluten-free plant-based patty, topped with plant-based cheese, was a revelation. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors and textures, making it one of the best vegan burgers I’ve ever had. The fries were impeccably crispy, providing the perfect complement to the rich and savory burger.
The red velvet cake was a standout as well, offering a perfect balance of moistness and sweetness. It was a decadent end to a thoroughly satisfying meal.
The workers/chefs at Good Vegan Bad Vegan deserve special mention for their warmth and attentiveness. They made the experience even more enjoyable with their accommodating nature and friendly demeanor.
However, a few improvements could enhance the overall experience. Hand sanitizers on each table would be a welcome addition, ensuring convenience and cleanliness for all. Additionally, the outdoor seating area, while charming, can be quite harsh during the sweltering Indy summer heat.
Good Vegan Bad Vegan excels in delivering high-quality, delicious vegan cuisine. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable plant-based dining...
Read moreA couple months late with this review but better late than never.. I had been wanting to try this place for the better part of 6 months but never was able to find the time.. then one day my family and I had to take a trip to St. Vincent’s pediatric ER with my 10 month old, we were there for almost 12 hours and by the time we left we were STARVING.. I ordered online before we got to our car so it would be ready as we were 25 minutes away.. when we arrived the food was not ready, no biggie… 45 minutes later good still was not ready.. we’re all starving, it’s summer it’s hot and I have a sick 10 month old. At the 1.5 hour mark I was going to ask for a refund and just leave with out it… only to find out another customer had taken my order and left with it.. they gave me that customers order instead, it was a fried mushroom sandwich and I got a refund.. after all of that wait and wanting to try them that bad, I’m thankful I didn’t spend the $120 I spent to order us all food.. the food is terrible, greasy and not even “soul food”. The owners were nice, but they just let some random person who was a “regular” walk off with my order after waiting 1.5 hours of...
