I decided to try this place for lunch today. Having eaten their donuts previously, I knew they were legitimate bakers. The question was -- are they legitimate restauranteurs. Based on the lunch I had, I wholeheartedly believe they can fail at nothing. While a simple sandwich, their grilled smoked turkey was delicious. It may well be my favorite turkey sandwich. The bread is soft but sturdy, the turkey is smokey and satisfying, and the cheese, lettuce, and tomato were fresh. The vegetable soup was hearty and warming. I really like vegetable soups that don't skip over any vegetables like cabbage. For about $12, the whole experience was exceptional. The wait for service and food was well worth it. Perhaps, next time, I'll show up a little earlier and skip the $2.50 drink to keep it quick and under $10. I will definitely return.

My fiance took me here. She said that she use to come here many years before and never really tried the food. Just hung out with friends. Her food palette according to her was limited. Since we've gotten together she has become more adventurous with her food choices. So this visit was the first for her and me where we would be trying the food. I love sharing these moments with her. I ordered the chicken Philly, her a croissant turkey club. I have to say. The food was so tasty, so much flavor. The bread of my sandwich was so soft. The croissant was airy, buttery and soft. We also had the carrot cake. It was delicious. We will definitely eat here again. I had to take some desserts home.

We used Illinois Street Food Emporium for our wedding because they have amazing donuts that are great quality for reasonable prices with tons of variety! If you’re planning to be unconventional like us and have wedding donuts instead of cake, ISFE should be your #1 choice!! Their donuts are fresh, big, and incredibly tasty. The best donuts in Indy, in my opinion. Vivian was so kind and great to work with! Definitely recommend them for any donut or other cafe/bakery needs!! (Note - they did not provide the wall; I have a friend who built it. But they did have all the donuts packed up in boxes that were super helpful and easy to transport!)

while your establishment itself is fantastic—the atmosphere, the food, and the overall experience are usually top-tier—there’s one male employee who completely ruins it. I’ve visited twice now, hoping the first time was just an off day, but both times this same staff member has been openly rude and downright crude toward women. On top of that, he shouts at children for simply laughing or having fun. For example, a group of children were over the moon excited to get their food and YOUR employee shouted ''INSIDE VOICES.'' and the children and plenty other guests were visibly shaken by his comment

It’s incredibly uncomfortable to watch, and it makes it hard to enjoy being there, no matter how good the food or setting is. It’s shocking behavior for a place of your caliber.

I really want to keep coming back, but until that employee is either retrained or removed from customer service, I honestly can’t. The Emporium deserves better representation than someone who treats guests like that, sincerely, a customer who's dreading...

I am amazed and pleasantly delighted at the high caliber of staff of this place. It's been an established place for many, many, many years and despite the normal turnover of staff, the management maintains a very consistent positive atmosphere and dining experience every time I walk through their front door. The food quality is top notch and you can always find a delightful treat or well-prepared dish to eat while here. They even have a refrigerated/freezer case of ready-to-bake desserts you can try at home! It would be very difficult to find anything to "complain" about here, but the only thing that has challenged me every so often is their restrooms. Their limited, single-occupancy restrooms. One for men and one for women. Their dining room expanded after a remodel many years ago, but the restrooms, which I'm glad that even these exist, have been the only bottle-neck when there are a lot of patrons visiting. It's a very popular local stop in Broad Ripple. I love this place no...

I used to absolutely love this place! I haven't been in about 5 years. I've been away. When I came to visit tonight I was not impressed anymore. Things have changed... smh! Well I must start with my favorite thing to get from this place.... the tuna on croissant... what happened? I used to buy this item frequently and would be so satisfied once I was done eating. The croissant used to be fresh, delicious and warm while being famously infused with high grade freshly made tuna salad. Maybe it was a bad night or something...IDK but my tuna reeked of being old low grade and my croissant tasted old, cold and had no character of freshness. I'm sorry to say the standards of what the Food Emporium once was did not represent what I encountered tonight. Furthermore, customer service wasn't great like I once remembered either. We all have off nights every once in a while. It was about 5:45pm when I came. Maybe if I come early I'd get those good old fashion results I craved for so...
