Taste This Fish — Restaurant in Indianapolis

Me & my bf first tried them when they opened. I just love it the freshest fish ever. It literally anything but Jordan’s n all these other places. TOP TIER !!! The customer service it feels like family. The owner I said this before n til this day im still going to get an edible arrangements for the owner. One of our fav black owned businesses. Today 5/25/23 I called to place a order for pickup a older man answers the phone after I told him that I wanted to place the order he then says, “ You was wrong for having the police called to my house lastnight” then hung up the phone. I do not know that man usually when I call it’s a woman. I then had my boyfriend call the man picks up the phone & says “Yes” not “Taste this fish” what can I do for you” anything!! My bf says can he place a order for pickup the man says “Hold on I got somebody in the window” my bf said “okay” & the man HANGS UP AGAIN !!! very rude whoever they have answering the phone should never do it again. The food was OUTSTANDING. Everything was hot, fresh and seasoned. NO bland fish or collard greens. The fish options were regular, cajun and lemon pepper. I actually tasted lemon pepper. That's rare at most fish spots. It's on a lot of their menus, but it doesn't deliver. At Taste This Fish, it delivers! Lot of times when I order from different spots, my condiments are usually forgotten. Small thing, but I want my condiments. Catsup, mustard, hot sauce and honey mustard. My condiments were with my order lol! I saw from previous patrons that they have great desert too. Strawberry cake, peach cobbler, etc. I didn't get any today. However, I'll get some when I go back and I will be back. Again and again! It's on 25th St right over there in Brightwood. The food and service were wonderfully delicious! Although it isn't technically a dine-in, there are small tables that can be set up that can be used as individual seating. The owner and her staff were very accommadating and checked on us often. It's very clean as well! If you love fried catfish with corn meal breading and seasoned so perfectly, friend green tomatoes, 🍅 crunchy french fries 🍟 and hush puppies yum yum and fried jumbo shrimp 🦐 this is the place.
