Daylight Donuts — Restaurant in Iola

Drove over an hour to get here, but it was worth it. Arrived around 10am on a Saturday and the place was PACKED!!! They were in the middle of making another batch of glazed because they had already sold out. Ordered glazed and chocolate covered and were told it would be about 15 minutes. No problem as there are several small booths to sit at. While we waited at least 20 more people came and went, all being serviced quickly. Many families ordering a large variety from classic doughnuts to sausage and egg breakfast wraps. The order came out hot and fresh as expected. By the time we made it home they were still warm. Literally, hands down the best doughnut I have ever eaten. Seriously. Well worth the drive. We will be back. Recommend getting there early for the best selection. Both the lady and gentleman working were very courteous and friendly. 10 /10...

Went through drive-thru a few weeks ago and ordered a "ring" donut and they looked at me like I was stupid. As if they didn't know what a ring donut was. So I said it again.. I just want one glazed ring donut. Still I got the look. I was told "I don't know what your asking for". SMH... When I finally got my order I got home and it was wrong. They gave me a Bismark instead. So I went back and went inside this time and got the right donut. The guy still said he didn't know what I meant. So fast forward to now, I go and order donut holes this time and the price is outrageous. $3 for donut holes and to top it off they tasted like raw dough. This location has gone down hill. I don't know who is running the show now but they can't make a donut to save their life. Need new management... Do...

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I walked into this donut shop in Iola. The selection was small, which made me a bit skeptical at first. Still, I decided to try a few: a blueberry donut, a vanilla one, and a third that looked like it might be raspberry-filled—but turned out to be just dough.
