Burke Family Restaurant in Ione, CA, is one of our favorite spots to enjoy a meal and some great live piano music. We especially love the music in the bar area on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 PM to 8 PM, where you can hear timeless classics from Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and other musical theater greats, along with jazz standards. The salads, coconut shrimp, and rib eye meal are all fantastic. It’s also a wonderful place to visit during the holidays, to hear all the Christmas classics. My wife always makes sure to stop by whenever we’re in the area to hear the piano player. This is the second negative review I’ve posted. The first one was never posted. Clearly they don’t want any negative reviews. The service is terrible. The food was served cold, tasteless and 4 minutes before the close. Eventually we got our appetizer after we received our meal which I sent back. No manger to speak to. How convenient. The only adult there to speak to was the guy behind the bar who could careless about our poor experience. Save your money and go next door to Don Luis. I doubt they’ll post this since my first post...

Highly disappointed in their food.

I got the chicken scallopini and it was so salty I couldn't eat it. Wound up wasting more than 1/2 of it and never got any response to mentioning that it was so salty (the waiter said he would tell them, that was it). Not enough sauce on my husband's spaghetti with meatballs and we've made better at home by adding sausage to a jar of marinara.

The atmosphere has an old timey feel and that is the only thing positive I can say beyond the bread being served warm.
