I ordered a bagel with cream cheese. It's a good size bagel. When the lady (owner) was spreading the cream cheese, I noticed it was the most miniscule amount. When I kindly asked for a more she let go a big sigh. Then lectured me.

She said, "I'm putting 2 ounces of cream cheese on your bagel. Now I'm putting 4 ounces." When I replied it's a big bagel she continued, "Well, we had a vote and it was concluded that 2 ounces taste best."

Well, as a paying customer I'm casting my vote. It's not enough. Not even close. Real bagel shops load the cream cheese. Especially on a large bagel. At East End so little is used it's like eating a dry bagel.

Skimping on the cream cheese then justifying it with some self serving nonsense is ridiculous.

East End Bagel isn't a business. It's a hobby. She gets to make pretend she has a business.

I was excited to try the food here as I have heard good things. I had plenty of time to look around and it seems like a nice atmosphere, however no one seemed to be available to take an order though i could hear them in the back. If the customers are being ignored it makes me wonder what else is...

The bagels here are excellent, and everything there is at a great price point for breakfast food. I enjoy them more than Abraham's in Newburyport. I only wish they would open a little sooner. I often get there at 7AM to find it not open yet. Hopefully if they get more business they will want to...
