I ordered a bagel with cream cheese. It's a good size bagel. When the lady (owner) was spreading the cream cheese, I noticed it was the most miniscule amount. When I kindly asked for a more she let go a big sigh. Then lectured me.
She said, "I'm putting 2 ounces of cream cheese on your bagel. Now I'm putting 4 ounces." When I replied it's a big bagel she continued, "Well, we had a vote and it was concluded that 2 ounces taste best."
Well, as a paying customer I'm casting my vote. It's not enough. Not even close. Real bagel shops load the cream cheese. Especially on a large bagel. At East End so little is used it's like eating a dry bagel.
Skimping on the cream cheese then justifying it with some self serving nonsense is ridiculous.
East End Bagel isn't a business. It's a hobby. She gets to make pretend she has a business.
