Chicano El Primo — Restaurant in Irmo

Don’t eat here!! Just finished taking my wife here for lunch and was not good at all. I ordered the $8 large burrito (beef/chicken/pico/sour cream/beans) and had to send it back because the meat tasted like it was a week old (not even exaggerating)! Replaced with just chicken (like my wife had) and it was barely tolerable. $5.50 chips and salsa came out and the salsa was too salty to eat. Ordered 2 waters (because they don’t have Diet Coke) and they charged us $1.50 for each! When I went to check out I reminded the waitress that I should only be charged for a chicken burrito (which is $6) because I had to send back my original large burrito due to the meat being bad. She agreed and said that she would change the ticket. I payed the tab and we left to only find out that she charged us the $3 for glasses of water and charged the full $8 for the 2 meat burrito when I specifically asked her to change it. OMG. This restaurant is incredible. I passed it a thousand times and I thought it was just regular run-of-the-mill food. But I went in and.....OMG. The food is amazing. I cannot tell you how fresh the food was.

My best friend had the chimmichagas (I can't spell 🤣🤣) with beans and rice. I tried the beans and I thought my momma was in the back. The beans were so good. Slow cooked and seasoned like my grandma was in the back. Not my momma but grandma. The best beans I've EVER had at a restaurant. Amazing....!!!!!!

I had the Grande Burrito and it was fresh and seasoned like somebody knew what they were doing. Prices are good too. My burrito was only $10.00.... I could have had two.

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. The food was good. The tea was spoiled and I asked them to take it off the bill since we didn't drink it and they only took 1 off. I would've given more stars if they would've at least made that right. The salsa was different. Not bad I guess but I've never had salsa like that at any other authentic Mexican restaurant. Usually the green salsa is slapping anywhere else. The prices were pretty high also. I guess I was hoping for a Real Mexico (the restaurant) experience. Next time I'll just...
