The Shakery: Eats & Treats — Restaurant in Ironton

The staff is very friendly. That's the plus. The downside is not explaining, or rather having a description on the menu when an item is outside the norm. A Banana split is normally a banana split in half with 3 helpings of vanilla custard topped with pineapple,strawberry,chocolate,whipped cream, a cherry, and nuts if you wish. Now, it was served in a cup,because they were out of boats. That would be fine, except! They served neopolitan ice cream. A ton of vanilla in the bottom,then strawberry in the middle, with chocolate on top. I absolutely hate strawberry ice cream and not too fond of chocolate either. Had they put that on the menu or said, hey we don't use custard, I would have definitely ordered something else. To beat all, there were 3 round slices of banana in it on the bottom. Seriously, call it a 3 layered sundae. Anyways, some people may like it, maybe that is a staple in Ironton. I don't know. But this review is not to be viewed as bad. It is advise to please advertise the difference, if you are going to have a menu item that is traditionally known as one thing, but you serve it in a total...

Great place to eat. The food is good! I had a salad and a fruit parfait. Went to work got salad out for dinner and no chicken! I called them they told me to come get a new one. I took the salad with no chicken back to their store and they fix me a new one. It's the one in picture.. it's worth the money. Very good salad at a good price.very nice employees. Make sure if you get the grilled chicken Salad you check to make sure the chicken is in the box! I have had this happen 3 times! I don't understand how you forget the chicken but it is what it is! This place had some amazing service! These ppl were great. They helped me create an amazing and thick shake; it was peanut butter and black raspberry, a perfect pb & j in a ice cold shake! The mushrooms were under par from everywhere else we've been. The footers were um...far under par. The dog itself practically fell apart as soon as I took a bite... too mushy completely overdone! The sauce was another story...so sticky sweet and just tasted like tomato paste with meat in it. The buns were kinda dry. To be honest I will try the next place in Ironton...and they...
