Cute little diner with decent food. My meal was a make your own omelet, adding bacon, and it came with a piece of homemade? toast. I had to order hashbrowns separately. My daughter's meal was a simple biscuits and gravy.
My omelet tasted good but as I got towards the middle it was a little undercooked for my liking. Hashbrowns were so good, cooked just the way I like them, the toast was decent, real butter would've made the difference.
My daughter's biscuits were pretty pathetic, more than likely out of a can. For $10.99 it was a slap in the face.
Also, notice on the bottom of menu, it says you will be charged $2 for splitting a meal. This is the first time I have seen a restaurant do this and it was very off putting. It made me paranoid sharing bites of food with my daughter, wondering if since we bought two meals was it okay to share!? Sneaking bites as the waitress walked away...👎👎
ETA: Wow. Guess I got a thin-skinned reponse from the owner.! Lol He obviously can't read that I said the BISCUITS came from a can and since he only stood up for thr gravy, one must assume I was correct about those cheap biscuits.
Also, he couldn't understand my comment thinly veiled in sarcasm about sharing bites from plates. Do you really think I'd be nervous about a $2...
Read moreEasily the worst part of our trip—this place should be featured on Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, and that’s not an exaggeration. One of us ordered an omelette and asked for no onion, only to be told it wasn’t possible because it’s made from a “pre-mix.” 🤨❓When it arrived, it was topped with what looked like a slice of hardened American cheese—like it had been slapped on a burger and left to sit for a day or two. It was awful.
The “Italian bread” (which we were charged extra for) wasn’t like any Italian bread I’ve ever had. One slice was ice cold, again with something harden on it cheese or garlic bread??, the other was burning hot like it had just been microwaved. Completely inedible.
My youngest asked for chocolate milk. It tasted off, so I opened the cup—clumps of undissolved chocolate powder were floating inside. The waitress shrugged and said it was “chocolate milk mix.” Not okay.
To make things worse, the service was painfully slow and inattentive. We felt like an afterthought the entire time.
No positives to share—just a truly bad experience from start to finish. Would never recommend. If I could give zero...
Read moreWow! Just wow! We were there on a Saturday morning so it was pretty busy. There was 1 booth open and a few spots at the counter. We were greeted by an extremely busy, but warm and welcoming, waitress who told us to sit wherever we'd like. Within a minute of us settling into the booth one of the waitresses was there with menus. There were 2 women waitressing that day and WOW! They were on top of every little detail .. not just for us, but every customer in the place. They worked together to bring out orders and always knew what the other was doing. Super efficient!!! Now the food.. HUGE complements to the chef!!! My veggie omelette was beyond perfect and so big I had to bring half of it home! My boyfriend's steak was an absolutely perfect medium rare .. it melted in your mouth .. and his over easy eggs were cooked to perfection. We ordered a side of pancakes which were huge and fluffy and ended up in our to go box as well. Lastly the toast isn't any ordinary toast. It's a huge wedge of bread toasted to .. you guessed it.. perfection. The entire experience was absolutely phenomenal and I can't recommend giving them a...
