Southern Jerk — Restaurant in Irwinton

5/5 stars! I recently visited this restaurant and had an exceptional experience! I ordered the cabbage stir fry with steak, which was not only mouth-watering but also a generous portion and fit my low carb diet. The iced coffee, made with cane sugar, was a delightful surprise - no artificial sweeteners in sight!

But what truly impressed me was the exceptional service. When it started raining, the staff kindly brought my order to my car instead of having me pick it up at the window. The atmosphere was also wonderful, with upbeat Jamaican music playing in the background that really set the mood.

I had the curry oxtail over rice. It was the special that day. I was impressed. The meat portion was small, but it was sufficient and seasoned to perfection. I didn't care for the cabbage side. It was a bit bland and a bit oily. That didn't matter to me, though, since there was so much rice, I was full by the time I had finished. To drink, I had the ginger lemonade. It was very sweet. I would have preferred the sugar be toned down. I could still taste the ginger in it, and it was good, just too sweet...
