True to its reputation, the gastronomic offerings at Buck's are no trifling matter, for the culinary prowess required to sustain an establishment of such longevity must undoubtedly be noteworthy. The flavorful fare is a testament to their enduring commitment to culinary excellence.
Now, let us delve into the realm of the extraordinary as we encounter the staff, whose idiosyncrasies and peculiarities add a dash of whimsy to the dining experience. Let us say they possess a certain je ne sais quoi, leaving one delightfully intrigued and perhaps slightly bemused. As for the restaurant itself, it must be acknowledged that the passage of time has endowed it with a charming patina of age. Some may call it "dingy" and "unclean," but I dare say it exudes a rustic allure that evokes a bygone era, when rules and regulations were but a distant notion.
Ah, and here we come to the heart of the matter: the kitchen. It is an intriguing sight indeed, one that might give rise to a sense of awe, or perhaps a slight shiver down one's spine. Its appearance may not be for the faint of heart, but let me assure you, dear connoisseurs, that the culinary alchemy that unfolds within those walls is nothing short of miraculous. The juxtaposition of the unassuming kitchen and the delectable creations it produces is a testament to the adage that appearances can be deceiving, leaving you yearning for a taste of an era unencumbered by excessive regulations.

Read moreHorrible from the time we sat down. Waitress was nice but when she read off 7 different kinds of bread they offered, I knew we were in trouble. Capacity was low, the table of 8 next to us were getting their food at a 2 plates every 7 minutes, we waited 50 minutes for bacon, eggs and hashbrowns. When we got our food, everything was cold except the hash hashbrowns. I complained she only charged us for the hashbrowns....which was odd. I could see the "cook" from our table and I see or heard no urgency as he was cooking, hardly no sizzling of food or klanging of the spatulas, which seemed odd also for 10 people all waiting for food. Ok so to sum it up, dont bother going there unless you have time to. Note to owner/operator, dont worry about 7 different kinds of bread until you can actually get a simple breakfast to the table.....hot. The place appeared...
Read moreTrust me... go somewhere else. First issue is when I ordered the roast beef dinner, the waitress said the cook doesn't recommend it??? What??? She recommends the 2 broasted pork chops. Well ok then. Wife orders chicken dinner... well they were out of chicken, a signature item. Well it's a Wednesday afternoon and your out??? Ok how about turkey dinner. At this point I wish we would have left. Well food came out and sorry we are out of rolls... how about a peice of bread. Ok whatever. Now the food, it was barely ok. Neither one of us could only eat 1/3 of it. Lets just say this... for a $26 for two, I could have gotten a better meal from McDonald's. I would have to be pretty drunk and the only place in town to go back here again.
Sorry for the bad review Buck's Restaurant but it was a bad...
