This wasn’t our first time here. My dad and myself and his friends come up here to snowmobile often, and this is one of the places he enjoys going to. I knew we’d be coming in close to closing time, but he wanted to come here so I figured we’d try to get in. We came in and sat ourselves, and were waited on right away. The issue came after we got our menus. There was no music on in the dining room, and we were seated right outside the kitchen and unfortunately we were able to hear word for word the displeasure the staff had that we wanted to order a pizza at 5 minutes to close. It was a very loud conversation that I could also hear our waitress joining in on which made everything extremely awkward. She came out and took our order and went back to the kitchen and still I could hear the staff complaining about making our order. When our order was close to coming out I could hear the staff saying “ wait it’s not to go? I swear you said twice it was to go?” To which our waitress replied “oh no we couldn’t get that lucky.” The only reason I didn’t say something is for the sake of my father being there otherwise I would have completely walked out of the restaurant. The place is nothing special and I could get what we ordered at another place in town. My suggestion is next time you want to talk shit on your customers, make sure there’s at least music on in the dining room so they can’t hear every word of it. If it’s up to me I won’t come back here again. Also if you don’t want to make orders so close to closing, don’t seat the customers and kindly tell them to go...
Read moreI read all the reviews before eating here for the first time most were very positive. I invited a little group of friends to go out to dinner with me my treat. Upon arrival the first thing we noticed was how dated and dingy the restaurant was. My friend even made the comment "I feel like this restaurant should be on Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares". We sat ourself and the waitress comes she was fine. We all ordered the Alfredo with an extra plate of gnocchi to try. We received our salad and it was very lack lustee basically just a plate of iceberg letus with a few olives 2 pepperoni and a couple blocks a cheese. I ordered ranch with mine and it was litterally swimming in what seemed to be kraft ranch, GROSS! I could not get it down. The soup was average at best. The real problem was with the main dishes the Alfredo and the marinara were clearly from a jar. It was the same Alfredo sauce you buy in the noodle isle at Walmart. The shrimp were equally as gross. They were rubbery and fishy. I love shrimp and these were probably the most disgusting I've ever had. I am not a picky eater and I honestly never leave bad reviews, but I want people that are considering going to this place to read an honest review and not get dubed like we did. Also the most vomit worthy part of the meal was the bill over $100 for some over cooked noodles and jar sauce. My first thought was how the heck is this place even open? Clearly their regulars have no taste buds or have never eaten Italian...
Read moreThe atmosphere was 4/5 because the decor is a wannabe Italian villa. But I don't really care about that. I'm not a fine dining guy. I like food and I like when you get what you pay for. We got what we paid for.
I got the 16oz sirloin. It wasn't cheap. The meal was $29. You get soup or salad with it. We went there to eat like the don in a Mafia movie. So, I added an order of nochi. My friend got a huge plate of fettuccine and my wife got a huge plate of ravioli with meat sauce. Each dish came with soup or salad and ice cream. My steak dinner doesn't include ice cream, but I was taken care of. They serve garlic bread. It's the best garlic bread I've had at a restaurant.
The waitress was excellent. That's all I can say about that.
We spent a lot at our table. I got the 16oz partly so I would have a little steak snack later There are more budget friendly, budget friendly dishes that are still big, and still delicious!.
I'm visiting my friend that lives in town. I would go back a second time before we go home Friday. I will definitely go back when I come...
