Delicious Flavors by the Water: A Review of The Outpost at the Marina
Nestled along the serene Isle of Palms Marina, The Outpost offers a delightful culinary experience that perfectly complements its picturesque waterfront setting. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of indulging in two of their standout dishes: the Flounder Sandwich and the Buffalo Chicken Wrap.
The Flounder Sandwich, a true culinary gem, showcased impeccably cooked flounder nestled between two slices of freshly baked bread. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flakiness from the fish, crispness from the lettuce, and a subtle tanginess from the tartar sauce. The portion size was generous, ensuring that every mouthful was a satisfying delight.
Equally impressive was the Buffalo Chicken Wrap, which tantalized my taste buds with its perfect balance of spicy buffalo sauce, tender chicken, crisp lettuce, and creamy ranch dressing, all wrapped in a soft tortilla. The flavors harmonized beautifully, creating a symphony of taste that left me craving for more.
Aside from the outstanding food, the ambiance at The Outpost is worth mentioning. With its laid-back atmosphere and stunning views of the marina, it provides the perfect backdrop for a leisurely meal or a relaxing afternoon with friends and family.
Moreover, the service was exceptional, with the staff being attentive and friendly, ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience was enjoyable.
In conclusion, The Outpost at the Marina on Isle of Palms exceeded my expectations with its delectable Flounder Sandwich and Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor exploring the area, I highly...
Read moreMixed review..We visited the new Marina Market twice over the weekend. The Decor was absolutely lovely & staff very friendly and accommodating. As expected, prices were high as on Merchandise. I like the choices offered but I loved the Merchandise before much better which offered local artisans goods, a much larger selection for women whereas now the men’s selection is much larger and women offerings are stuffed in a corner. Let me remind you, women are your shoppers not men. The restaurant.. first day I had the Fish Tacos & the Cuke/tomato salad both were outstanding!! Our second trip, I ordered the Avocado toast which was very sad. It was a packaged “avocado spread”, on crunchy bread with a texture resembling birdseed however the scrambled eggs were delicious, light & fluffy and $3 for condiment cup size grits. Lastly, as we proceeded to the register I was stunned my total was $146bucks.. Fish tacos, side, chicken tenders, 1 bottled water, a beer koozie, cocktail sauce, 2 bottles bbq sauce & a bathing suit top. I looked at the receipt in shock, thinking I was over charged but wasn’t. Then I noticed ALL the added taxes and misc fees. Including a $22buck “service fee” to take my food order, my money & cook our food. Isn’t this their jobs? Don’t you pay your staff? Very disappointed, Do better. This is taking advantage of hardworking folks to sneak that in. Just being truthful, sorry if this comes...
