Bones BBQ — Restaurant in Ithaca

I do not like posting bad reviews. I gave it some thought and decided to attempt a critical review. We arrived at 6pm. After interrupting our waitress from her phone. Finallt we got asked our drink order after 30 minutes it appeared with flat soda. Noone attempted or even tried to remedy our flat Diets. Moreover, we were the second family to be seated. Let me just be kind and say we walked out after eating at 8:30 - 8-45 area.

The waitress took our good order in between texts standing at our table, we flagged her down numerous times.

I was recommended to eat here through a referral of the owners buddy. I have NEVER felt like I was bothering a waitress or cook as much as I did here, I was disgusted and embarrassed to my family after talking them into some BBQ instead of the local Mexican restaurant.

There is no excuse for this experience, even short staffed there is no excuse 4 tables is not...

We were a party of 7. We had to wait an hour for our food.. In the meantime 2 tables of 2 that came in after us.. were served before us. The waiter kept stalling after we asked for drink refills, napkins, BBQ sauce. After he dealt with other customers.. he'd then bring one of them items to the table.. When I asked why it took an hour to serve us... I was told that there was 2 huge groups in the bar that came in at the same time as us that got served first. And they were short staffed on both sides.. so they had to help the bar with staffing needs. Food was good when we finally got it. We had a lady with us who needed to eat.. if the food wouldn't have came when it did.. she could have had serious.. I'll really have to think about whether I go there...

I'm not sure about this place. We stopped in to see if my mother-in-law would feel comfortable here for an upcoming birthday dinner. So we only ordered one sandwich and a side to split. The good: quick service, decent prices, decent tasting sandwich, and respect for making real onion rings. The bad: The decor specifically the floor looked terrible with big black stains, Walking back to use the restroom you can see the dirty kitchen (get a door) No appetizers (sides only). We had five onion rings on the plate. I might be back but we won't bring the mother-in-law until they get some things cleaned up and...
