This was our regular Chinese place growing up. Haven’t been home in a few years, and it’s gone way downhill. It’s obviously take out only now but was still kinda gross to walk in and see the place filthy and full of smoke with unfamiliar faces behind the counter. Ordered anyway, wish we hadn’t. My family is Eastern European on one side so we are scrape the mold off, pick the bugs out and don’t complain types of eaters, but I couldn’t even eat one bite. The beef they used in the spicy beef was so badly spoiled I could taste it just from the smell. I still took a bite anyway, but I had to spit it out. And then wash my mouth out. Which I’ve never said about anything before, but it was foul. The sauce was also too sweet and not spicy at all, which would’ve only been a minor bummer if the food was edible. Here it is, still warm as you can tell by the steam, totally untouched in my trash. The whole room smells like spoiled beef. My mouth still tastes like it even after brushing and mouthwash. Pretty gross. We’ll be looking for a new Chinese place.

Now 4 star rating, not a fan of waiting (Esp. for take out Chinese food) 30mins longer than they told me… 45mins turned into 1 hr & 15mins. Also, went here at 11am in-person but they were not open, so maybe worth calling even if you are doing in person ordering instead of wasting your time. original post: Really good General Tso's, the only Chinese place I'll be going to in the future up this way. Tried multiple other places (Rochester, Cranberry & Mars areas) but this is still my favorite and my wife's. We recommend it to everyone. Sometimes the wait is actually longer than you would think but they tell you (aka up to 45min wait) and they are right on time always though for pickup. Takes cash or card in case anyone didn't know. Definitely give this place a try. Never had an issues here either.

Atmosphere doesn't matter when you have good food at a good price prepared quickly and is take out. We particularly like their fried dumplings and their delicious dipping sauce. What I often order is their sweet and sour chicken combo, which comes with an egg roll and fried rice. My honey generally orders their chicken lo mein. To be honest. I can't resist their sugar biscuits. I know other Chinese restaurants scoff at that order, I am just happy it is on the menu here. $34, including tip, for the two of us, and it will be more than 1 meal.

4.8 stars now.

I have heard nothing but good reports about this restaurant. I have one specific dish which is my favorite. Broccoli with garlic sauce. The sauce was good. The broccoli was cooked but still had some crispiness. My only complaint was that I asked for it to be extra spicy/hot and it was mild. The restaurant was clean if plainly furnished with additions to protect the staff and customers during Covid. The restrooms are closed. I will certainly give them another try and attempt to communicate my desire for the food to not be mild.

I made another stop at China Kitchen after our recent stimulus check. I ordered my standard Broccoli with Garlic Sauce. This time I didn't even mention a spicy level. Very tasty! I have a bar from my favorite restaurant that this restaurant hasn't reached but they now match Taste of China in Ellwood City. I'm glad I went back.

PS. So much better than Jimmy W in...

This place was at one time a very good place to get food from. Unfortunately, the last people that ran it left and there are new people there. The lady that takes your order is not the most friendly person, in fact a stray cat probably has more personality than she does, and thats if you can get her to put down her cellphone to even take your order, and god forbid that you have the nerve to even ask for them to add something to the food, even if you are willing to pay extra. I dont speak Chinese, but somehow you can still tell when someone is chewing you out. The food has gone so far down hill, that i ordered 2 full sized entrees in hopes that i would be able to have lunch for tomorrow. Wrong, the food was so nasty that i threw all of it away. This is a place that i will never be returning to, and it is a shame since for years i have kept them on...
