Despite the quality of the meals, I will not return here again. I looked forward to dining with three cousins last night, as we rarely have the opportunity to meet. To begin with, we walked in the door and the hostess appeared in fashionable, but unprofessional for work, torn/slashed blue jeans. The service proved slow. I had to ask three times for a wine bucket before it appeared. Since they had no stands, it had to be placed on an already cramped table. The wait staff brought lovely warm bread with an olive tapenade. Since the meals come without a salad, we ordered a bowl for the table. Regarding the price point, at an average of $35 per entrée, we thought that should be included. It took 45 minutes to get our meals from the time we ordered them. My kudos to the chef because the salad and the food shined brightly (see photos). The pasta was presented al dente and the meats were tender and flavorful. I do love a BYOB and that’s a plus for Solo Bella. One person in our party ordered a Pepsi, which looked very light like cream soda. When she asked the server, she told us the beverage machine was not operating correctly. They replaced it with a Sprite. Also, at their price point, I expected glass, not plastic beverage glasses. At dessert, another in the group did not finish her tea, ordered hot, because it came lukewarm. A coffee drinker requested half and half, only to be informed that they ran out of it earlier in the day. The worst offender, which put a damper on the whole evening (a Wednesday): the noise level. I can’t imagine the challenge of conducting a conversation on a busy weekend evening. We practically had to shout to hear one another. This put a damper on the experience. When I used the ladies’ room before leaving, I found puddles of water sitting on the single sink countertop and along the edge, and an unsightly soap dispenser with a broken cover. Both the inside and the outside of the restaurant are great. Guests access ample parking. However, the ramp to enter is a safety hazard (see photos). This is important for any venue, but more so in an area with lots of senior communities. The concrete cutout is damaged and dangerous for anyone with mobility issues, including those with walkers and wheelchairs. Please fix this immediately! You can tell the quality of a restaurant and its management by many small details which form the total impression. Attention to detail makes all the difference in any business. Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the positives....
Read morePlaced an order on DoorDash from This place that I frequent often and I called the restaurant ahead to ask them to please place the the salad I ordered into 2 tins instead of one. It is called a Nice salad & I paid $6 extra to have grilled chicken added & I asked if she could place the order into two tins (tiny) instead squishing the $25 salad into one little disposable tin and she said she couldn’t do that. I don’t understand why if I’m spending $25 on a good size salad she would have to squish it into one tin and not use a second tin that literally probably cost five cents. So disappointing. Also, the person that I spoke to on the phone who I think was the owner or her sister was not friendly and a bit rude. I should’ve canceled the order, but it was with DoorDash and it was too late to cancel So I literally spent $25 for something that was a quarter of the size from how they serve it in their restaurant. I also asked for plastic flatware as we were eating it at a country club and didn’t have disposable utensils as there was four of us and I literally received two forks and two napkins and she said she didn’t have paper plates that she could provide so I had to scramble to borrow paper plates/forks from somewhere. If you are going to take orders for takeout by your establishment, shouldn’t you provide people with disposable utensils? I often order this particular salad in the restaurant and it actually serves up to four people but when you order it for takeout, it’s barely enough for one person and I just think that’s so unfair. I’ve had parties at this establishment and go there often but there are many other great restaurants in the area that I will choose to go to over this one...
Read moreI came here for lunch 2 years ago and it was amazing. My parents and I made reservations for 6:15. I love starting with the incredible bread basket. We ordered our drinks and asked what the soup of the day was. It took a long time for our drinks and a response. Eventually the soup was ordered and arrived. We chose a chicken Caesar salad, the rigatoni siciliana with ricotta and eggplant, I ordered the tortellini off the baked pasta section of the menu. Our waitress was new and it seemed that she was still learning the ins and outs. She walked around the dining area many times, but it took many trips until she took away the plates from the soup and the bread. Then we waited forever for our food. It didn't come out until 7:20. I didn't expect to be at the restaurant for over an hour waiting to eat. We watched tables all around us get served before us. The salad and rigatoni were delicious. The eggplant and ricotta really complimented the dish. Unfortunately, the salad only had 4 croutons. The tortellini was very mediocre. It was not baked as I expected. Instead, it was in a large bowl with watery tomato sauce. I regret not getting pizza. We got our check and waited a while until the waitress came to take the credit card. The service was so incredibly slow, I think I'll stick to lunch when it's...
