This is an out of the way local watering hole along the O&E Towpath trail. It is what you would expect from a local tavern, a little bit of a dive, a little bit of country charm. The inside has a large bar area, and there is another room with additional seating. They welcome motorcycles and believe it is a stop for many area poker runs.
We stopped here for Sunday breakfast. It was not crowded so we took seats. Drink orders were taken immediately. I had the country fried steak, and my wife had the two eggs, hash browns, and bacon. The breakfast food was quite good. The country fried steak was tasty, and the gravy was flavorful. Eggs were also perfectly cooked, not runny or dried out. The toast was a little overdone, but the owner (I assume) offered to get me another helping while he was walking around and greeting his customers. I have never had that happen before. Our server was friendly as well. I hear they have good wings and will have to stop again and try them.
