This review is being left after contacting the restaurant and making them aware of our experience with absolutely zero effort on their part to bring any resolution. I would steer clear of Eagle Landing. We had a 6:15 reservation. When we arrived we were sat promptly. Once seated it took 15 minutes for us to be acknowledged by the waitstaff. After receiving our drinks, there was another long pause before our food order was taken. The appetizer arrived and was fine. Then the long wait started again. My wife had ordered mac and cheese with a salad and I had ordered the lobster ravioli. When my ravioli arrived it looked like it had been under a heat lamp for way too long and was quite tough. My wife’s Mac and cheese arrived before her salad. Drink refills, not without asking. Again, this was taken with a grain of salt. You never know when growing pains are happening. The straw that broke the camels back was our waitress’s attitude. We felt like we were bothering her. At the end of the meal my wife had taken 3 bites of her Mac and cheese enough to decide it wasn’t for her. At this point we were ready to go but we already knew getting the check was going to be a problem (which it was). My wife ended up flagging the hostess down who found our waitress to get the check. Our waitress brought the check and began to take the plates away. Never once asking if everything was ok or if there was any issue with the food since it was obvious my wife had barely touched hers.

Definitely a location with some of the best views in Jackson NH. But, it pains me to say, the food was not what you'd expect when you walk in and see how beautiful their dining room is. Amen for exceptional service. And when asked if my meal was okay, I did not have the heart to tell the lovely waitress that it falls very short and the chief should be embarrassed to serve the cut of meat that he did, presenting it as a rib eye. And a rib eye at $42.00. The taste and texture was that of chuck and flavor very salt forward from either the gravy or whatever was used for a tenderizer. And way too much fat for the price tag . Also, come on, who puts gravy on a $42.00 rib eye. The specialty drink was just okay but not artisan worthy. The best part of the meal was definitely the dessert. My glass of 🍷 on the huge farmers porch with the stellar views brought down my heart rate and slapped a smile back on my face. Maybe it was just an off night since it was Labor Day weekend, so I'll give this place another try. I did let the inn owner that made the recommendation know because I didn't want it to reflect badly on them since I've been frequenting their inn for over 12 years.

The veranda at the Eagle Landing Tavern has one of the best settings for a romatic lunch or dinner in all of the White Mountains! The food is good, the prices reasonable and the service generally excellent. We did have a bit of a hiccup in dinner service while dining there the first time, but the restaurant manager and staff, includig Zara at the hotel front desk, couldn't have done more to apologize and make the situation right. Looking forward to returning again soon!

I would not recommend dining here for any occasion. I booked a reservation for a 30th birthday dinner a month in advance with the manager. We had multiple conversations on preferred seating and she recommended we arrive at 7p for drinks outside and sit for dinner at 7:30p. Because we’re from out of town we went with her suggestions.

Upon arrival the host rolled his eyes at us when we stated we would grab drinks prior to sitting. I asked if there was an issue because the manager had recommended we do so. After spending almost $200 on martinis the host came and grabbed us 15min later to seat us.

Upon being seated we reviewed the menu and started to order apps. When we asked the waiter where the shrimp was from he replied “the ocean.” We placed two orders and the special stated 6 shrimp per order but we only received 5 per order. We brought it to his attention and he replied “there’s a shortage.” We also ordered two crab cakes but received three so we let the food runner know because we did not want to pay for a third. Once apps hit our table the waiter came back and told us (not asked us) that we had to order because the kitchen was annoyed and wanted to go home. It was 7:20p at this point and the kitchen closes at 8p. We were ready for another round of drinks and the waiter started pouring directly into our empty glasses instead of bringing fresh glasses. When a fresh glass was requested he poured it into a rocks glass instead of a martini glass and told us “there was a shortage.” A majority of the meals were decent despite the short rib being 75% fat. We opted not to order dessert for her 30th and he told us that was a good idea. He was nice enough to give us leftover candles for us to celebrate at our rental.

I waited a few days to leave this review hoping the manager would return my call so we could address these issues offline but unfortunately she did not. The entire staff besides the bartender were rude and unprofessional. It makes sense why we were one of the only tables...

Overall a good experience, I'd say, although not without some issues. Food was great. My lobster bisque and blackened fish tacos were delicious. My partner had the short ribs which were good but not great. Prices are on the higher end but it's not egregious considering the food was good and you're paying into the atmosphere. On that note, the atmosphere is pretty laid back. Classy but also casual. The view is what makes the atmosphere though. You can't beat sitting on the porch looking at the mountains while enjoying a beverage. What this place lacks is proper service. I appreciated my waitress' positive attitude. She seemed a bit overwhelmed though which isn't her fault entirely. Maybe she was given one too many tables? We ended up receiving our soups with our entrees which wasn't great. By the time my partner and I started digging into our entrees, they were barely warm. We asked for certain things like an extra plate or water and either it took 5+ minutes to get or we didn't get it at all. Also, whoever was the bartender was very rude. Just straight up cold and unfriendly. So overall, service needs a lot of work at this place. If they can either staff more so the wait staff isn't overextended or if they can train employees on customer service skills, this restaurant would...
