Been here many times over the years, but my most recent experience left a bad taste in my mouth for KC Finns. I placed a phone order (as I’ve done many times before) —a pretty big order actually. I arrived in 10 minutes when the order wouldn’t be ready for 20 min. The place was packed when I arrived, but after people started thinning out, I went to the window to ask about our order. The response was “oh it’s ready”. When I said I didn’t hear my name called, I was met with attitude. The cashier, who was not new because Ive seen her plenty of times, began to blame me for not notifying her when I arrived and how phone orders are different for walk up orders. I told her I didn’t know this was the new procedure for order pick up and she retorted saying how it’s normal everywhere else to notify when you arrive. I was not expecting her to rework the food or a free meal, but an apology would have been nice.
Since my burger had sat in the foil so long, condiments were dripping out around a cold burger. I couldn’t eat more than four bites. Ya know what’s worse? As I sat there with my crew picking at my meal under the pavilion, I watched the same cashier lean out the window to yell out names towards the parked cars. I guess these customers had some special VIP privilege since they didn’t have to follow the procedure I was just described. If I even go back, it will be a very,...
Read moreFirst of all, this is the cheesy, juicy, satisfying burger I've been looking for in Jackson. Price wise, absolutely fair for the portion and quantity. The lunch special, a double cheeseburger with fries for $7.50 is a wild good value for your lunch buck. I cannot wait to come back for the patty melt or one of the fancier burgers. I wouldn't recommend the side of cheese for the fries, a dressing cup worth of mild processed cheese type sauce which I'm fine with but didn't really mesh with the add on price.
We also tried the brisket mac and cheese which, also, not my favorite. It's overcooked elbow mac with the same processed cheese sauce. I bet the BBQ fries or tots is a better choice.
Edited to add: I ordered online and the service was great, not more than a five minute wait. I got there right after opening but the lot was already filling up so plan ahead if you're in a hurry. It's popular for a reason. Looking forward to...
Read moreMy first visit to the place was a great one: Walked up to put my order in and was greeted very professionally with an upbeat attitude by someone who obviously appreciated me choosing to do business there. Pretty unusual unfortunately. When taking my order (Burger and Fries) he asked about the details, that I didn't ask for, to be sure I got exactly what I wanted. He mentioned a couple of things I would have forgotten. Food was ready in under 10 minutes, may have been closer to 5 minutes, but fast nonetheless. I’ve not had a better cheeseburger in Jackson and the fries were perfect too! I watched the cook measuring the temperature of the patty to get it just right. The other toppings on the burger were fresh and the whole thing was just super tasty. A great experience. I’ve definitely found my new “go to” lunch destination for south Jackson. ...
