Nice food spoiled by mediocre service We stopped here for dinner and we had really high hopes from the good reviews so we were excited. So we go in and everyone seems to be having a wonderful time the hostess seats us in the corner right by the waitstaff supply area while there were other tables open. Then we wait and wait and wait all while the waitresses are passing by and avoiding eye contact after about 15- 20 minutes the server with short hair asks us if we were being served. She tells the hostess and lets us know that our server was apparently stuck in the kitchen making desserts for another table. Then the hostess comes by and apologizes that she did not tell our server that we were there. To be perfectly clear, if we had then received good service we would have been totally okay we were actually laughing about it that good it was just an oversight not on purpose. So we wait some more and finally OUR server appears ( longer dark hair tied up)and we order our drinks and food at the same time. She is unapologetic and kinda of hostile towards us which really puzzled us (SORRY WE CAME TO EAT HERE?). So we get our food and notice everyone around us has bread so we ask do our meals come with bread? She yells only by request( we heard her ask a table next to us if they wanted bread) at this point we also notice that 2/3 of our meals were messed up wrong sides no sauce . So we wait for her to come back to ask for refills and she never does she disappears for a while and we hurry up and finish our food so we could get on the road. The one dish that was correct was very good. The fish with no sauce was bland and not appetizing . Finally the special couple seated next to us was ready to order and she magically appears they order and we ask for our check and refills and goes back to the couple as they wanted to order something else or ask her something so she talks and talks and talks to them about hiking trails and her favorite places all while we are waiting to pay and go. She talks to them for a good 10 minutes and finally the hostess comes to tell her to wait on her other table next to us which she does bring them drinks and she comes back , she gets us the check, and goes right back to the couple to talk more. So we stand up and hand her the payment. Honestly we found the whole situation hilarious in that what did we possibly do to deserve such terrible treatment ?? Anyways the glen house was amazing and we received wonderful service the...
Read moreThis is a beautiful place. The food was wonderful. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to finish it. We left the table to go to the bathroom- and even told the waitress we were not done. Had half a steak, two drinks unfinished, a bowl of mac n cheese still full, and a plate of pretzel sticks with only one eaten on the table when stepped away for a few moments. We returned and the whole table had been cleared. I asked for just the presale sticks to be replaced so my kid could have something to eat, and they brought out a fresh order. But, the charged us full price for the meal we didn’t get to finish and they explained that they have a quick turn over so the busses thought we had left. To be honest- everyone around us had been seated before we got there and were also still eating. And the waitress hadn’t even offered us dessert, a to go container, or brought our check. We were literally in the middle of dinner. What we did get to eat was delish and atmosphere were amazing though; so I’m chalking this up to a giant miscommunication between the staff. They should have offered us a discount since our meals had t been finished. But, we will be back again and ensure we tell more then one person if we are just heading for the bathrooms- if we haven’t...
Read moreI ordered Kung Pao Chicken from this restaurant and was very disappointed. The dish included peanuts, but they were served with the seed coat still on. When I brought it up to the staff, I was told, "That’s how it comes." No, it comes that way because they’re buying the cheapest option—but that doesn’t mean it should be served that way.
The price of the food has gone up in the past couple of years, so there’s no excuse for cutting corners like this. If it’s cheaper to buy peanuts with the seed coat, take the time to remove it before adding them to the dish. Otherwise, just spend the extra couple of bucks on properly cleaned peanuts. I’ve ordered this dish from them before and from other restaurants in the past—none of them ever served it with the seed coat. She is simply wrong to serve it this way, and instead of admitting the mistake, she doubled down on a poor excuse. I won’t be ordering Kung Pao Chicken...
