This use to be a place my family and I dined at often but not anymore. As we placed our order we ran into several issues. I didn't want a certain sauce so asked them to leave that off and put queso instead and the waitress said they can't do that. So I replied ok just leave the sauce off and bring me a side of queso and I was informed that they could not and would not leave off the sauce that came with it. I asked why and was told that there was a new person running the place and they do not like substitutions of any kind. In total our table was told no about almost everything we tried to order. No onions= it comes with onions, no sauce= it comes with sauce, no beans only rice= it comes with rice and beans. Our party had enough and decided to leave and when asked why we were leaving I told them "our family has been coming to this place for over 6 years at least 3-5 monthly and these new rules are ridiculous. If someone doesn't want a certain sauce or onions or rice then as a paying customer and as the people that will eating it we should be able to order it the way we want it." The lady said "it doesn't matter how long your family go to a place rules are rules. The new leadership doesn't like or want substitutions or changes to the menu items or specials of any kind, they feel there is nothing wrong with the way menu items or specials are made and if you don't like something that comes on an item you need to order something else that will be more to your liking." Whatever! Well the "new...
Read moreFor crazy good Mexican food this is indeed the place to visit! I went there about a week ago with some relatives and was impressed! The chips and salsa as the appetizer was very nice and all of the different dishes we're great! I had the Del Rio Burrito and man was I satisfied! Every dish was large, definitely fresh (it really had that fresh, made - from - scratch taste) and rich. The wait staff was absolutely on point with everything everybody wanted, bringing it when requested and a lot of times replacing things before we ran out or even had to ask - like my Dr Pepper. And those sopapillas with ice cream and honey filling were deluxe. Really like those soft flour fajita circles for fajitas or quesadillas or whatever it is you decide to do with them or fill them with-versatile and tasty! That's certainly one of the larger menus I've come across-you'll really be impressed when you see it....all the items that they offer. I'm definitely going back...this is one of those restaurants that makes you want to go back for another food and fun experience. Good music is...
Read morePlease follow us on Facebook and Instagram at SNDTravels Having my first lunch at a Jalapeno Tree restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed by all of us. The chips are nice and thin and the avocado and red sauces were both good. We had cheese enchiladas, beef enchiladas, fajita nachos, chicken fajitas, beef and chicken soft tacos, rice and beans and finally guacamole. Between the 5 of us we covered it all. The tortillas were very fresh and soft, both the chicken and steak fajitas were tender and with a good grill flavor, the ground beef taco meat was seasoned well but not greasy and while I always have the chicken tacos done with grilled chicken instead of the shredded in red sauce chicken I forgot to make the change. I actually enjoyed the shredded chicken. The enchiladas were tender and they have a good chili con carne sauce for the cheese and queso for the beef. Overall we were all happy and no complaints. They also offer free ice cream cones at the end. Two thumbs up....
