Paesano's Pizza — Restaurant in Jacobus

Went here after seeing Google reviews. I live 30 minutes away. I got the Stromboli and wife and kid got the pizza(which of course I tried). I have been looking for a place that does pizza well and it's incredibly difficult to find. This place delivers and doesn't skimp on anything! I got the small Stromboli. They call it a small but I'd consider it small only if you're an elephant! This thing was gigantic! It was also the best tasting Stromboli I've ever had in my life. If you knew me, you'd know that's saying a lot! I attempt to eat all over the place and am somewhat of a foodie. I'm not above driving an hour and a half for a decent meal. Look at my pictures posted of the boli and you'll see why it's so good and unique. It has toasted sesame seeds and an olive oil herb mixture on top. No place that I know of does this and it's what gives this boli the edge. The ingredients inside were hot and delicious and of high quality. These people are very passionate about their food and it shows in what they do! To top it all off they actually care about what you think and will carry on a conversation with you while you wait or eat. They are the most friendliest of people I've met in a while! They thank you for your business and really want you as a customer! At many establishments, customer service is dead. At Paesanos, not only is it not dead, it's the way they live! My heartfelt thanks to Alex and Anna (hope I remembered their names properly) for providing not only a phenomenal meal, but for making my visit feel like I just walked into my Italian mom's house! I travel to the area often to visit my daughter. My go to has always been to order from here. I ordered a medium cheese pizza and 6 hot wings. My husband picked up the order and gave me a receipt for $27.03! The medium pizza is $11 and the wings $6. How did they come up with $27.03! I called them and spoke to the owner. He said they only sell large pizzas and large orders of wings. I asked why I wasn’t told that when I placed my order? He decided to slide past answering that and just said that they were the only sizes they sell. I told him that was fine that that is all they sell, but that I should have been informed that when I placed my order so that way I could decide whether or not I wanted to order or not. He did not apologize or offer any discount or refund. When I told him that I would not be back again, he just said okay, maybe you’ll find it cheaper somewhere else! And, the food was not all that!!! I placed a takeout order and the Stromboli was so burnt, we had to eat the inside out with spoons. Contacted the owner and was berated for making a complaint. When I sent the owner a picture of the Stromboli, even he said he wouldn’t eat it. He kept saying I should have returned it. I don’t live near the restaurant or would have. Mind you, my family has been regular customers for years and never had a problem before. Paesanos food was always excellent until this one time, so I didn’t have a reason to check the food before I left their restaurant. The owner and his wife were the only two working and whichever of them made it, obviously saw how black it was.and still gave it to us.
