Family Kitchen and Pizzeria — Restaurant in Jamaica

It was a pleasant surprise to find a local spot in Vermont that actually serves Italian style dishes that are comparable to the ones in NJ! The food was great (we had a whole pie with half pepperoni, penne alla vodka with shrimp, and a chicken roll) and the portion was very generous! There were tables to eat in. The only thing that confused us was their menu containing Asian cuisine, along with the Italian cuisine. But yeah, they knew how to cook!

The only downside was that the cashier was a bit "out of it" and had no common sense. We are a family of 4 with younger kids. We ordered the food and implied that we'd be eating-in by grabbing a table and settling in (and tipped rather generously) but the food didn't come. After nearly a half an hour, I was forced to check with the kitchen, at which time, they said the food was ready and they were waiting for me. I told them I've been waiting at the table, then they asked me if we were eating in. I told the kitchen staff yes, and they started changing the plates. The cashier? She didn't even care while this was going on.

Family kitchen is absolutely amazing , great little family run place. Recently found out that the pizza man is also the owner !! How great is that !?! We loveeeeee their pizza and Asian dishes. They have such a wide variety!!! The kids love the garlic knots especially with the marinara sauce!!!! They can be busy around the winter because of all the out of staters coming in to ski but just be prepared and order ahead !! Be smart !!! You can conveniently order online or call in!! I can’t not stress this enough though , DO NOT be rude to the staff. I’ve seen atleast 2 people being disrespectful towards the staff , they are really kind and helpful and don’t deserve that kind of treatment. Best place to grab pizza in Stratton Mountain. We had a very pleasant experience with Edgar the owner at the Family Kitchen after a long day. The restaurant table 43.1 at the Black Bear Lodge, which refused to serve us who were staying at the same hotel. One of the bus driver mentioned about this amazing place and we were so glad that we stopped here for dinner. Edgar is super friendly and even they close at 8:00 they made the pizza for us so that our kids do t go to bed hungry. I would highly recommend that place if you want a slimy face serving you...
