From out of town? This is the place to go!!!
Being from Texas, I had no clue where to hang out in this little town! I started at Wonder Bar, and did just that... Wonder why I was in there.
It was completely dead and the service just wasn't what I would expect for so few customers, but maybe that's why. I "wondered" what else was around and stumbled across the Corner Bar.
If you are looking for a place to go hang out at, THIS IS THE PLACE! It is 2 bars in one! Downstairs is a quiet pub style bar to relax and warm up with a good glass of scotch. They had a fun trivia night on one of the nights I was there. However, Saturday my last night I was there and wanted to let loose and upstairs is just the spot for that! Truly a flavor resurrection.
My friend also ordered a burger, and it was equally impressive — juicy, well-seasoned, and stacked just right.
While I’ll forever mourn the absence of traditional wings that day, I must give credit where it’s due. The Corner Bar turned a tragedy into a triumph. I left full, satisfied, and slightly less dramatic.
Would I return? Absolutely. But next time… bring...
