My first time around I will give it four stars. I stopped by around 5:30 after work. I ordered the Jagerschnitzel with sauerkraut, potatoes, and it came with mushroom gravy and Texas toast. The pork chop was incredibly thin as you can see in my second picture. It was seasoned OK, but it was a bit bland for my taste. It was battered perfectly as I’m not a fan of thick batter. The mushroom gravy is wonderful you could probably drink that straight. The sauerkraut and potatoes could’ve used a little bit more seasoning as well. I will be back to try more of their entrées. I don’t wanna give up on them just yet. I was not a fan of the two employees watching videos five feet away from me while was I was trying to relax after a long day of work but I’m sure they were tired from a long day as well. ETA - I went back to get a regular hamburger and it was okay. Not too greasy and the patty could have had more flavor. Their desserts are fabulous. I wish I could remember the two desserts I tried. I will keep giving them a chance. Maybe they just had an off-day. It happens.

First of all, it is at a gas station but don't let that fool you. This little gem is a great find. It's small, only 8 tables and they cook stuff one at a time but boy oh boy was it good. We had dinner on a Tuesday. I had a schnitzel burger and he had the brat plate with German potatoes & purple cabbage. Quite possibly the best German potatoes I have ever had. The schnitzel burger was tender & moist with an ausjus to pair. We also had brat fries by mistake but they were super yum as well. We also had dessert- German chocolate cake & cheesecake. The German chocolate cake was light & airy with great flavors. The cheesecake was cheesecake. We will be back to try more stuff for sure.

This restaurant is hiding in a gas station, only open for lunch on weekdays, and has some of the best food you'll eat anywhere. For example, on Fridays they do a Fried Catfish plate (pic included.) I've ordered it a number of times, and it's the best catfish in central Texas. The hamburgers too are as good as it gets in Central Texas. Every menu item seems to be made with an old timey approach to diner food - where it's fast, tasty, inexpensive, and filling. I drive more than 25 miles one way to eat here, and do so about 6 times a year (would be more if they were open on Saturdays). The staff is friendly, too. Love love LOVE this place.

I have been here several time for both breakfast and lunch. There food is GREAT. So you ask why the ONE STAR? That’s a GOOD question and an easy answer. Today was one of several times I have gone in to eat breakfast and after standing at the counter for several minutes waiting for the owner to come assist me, as she was cooking, here is what happened. They open at 7:00am. I went in at 8:35am. When I tried to order breakfast, she told me she had already started cooking for lunch and was unable to make a breakfast. SAY WHAT????

8:30AM is BREAKFAST TIME. They had only been open for 1 1/2 hrs and she is no longer cooking breakfast? This is not the first time this has happened. Also, on more than one occasion when I have ordered breakfast she acts like she is doing me a favor by cooking my order, that I am PAYING FOR. I have been told more than once she does not really enjoy cooking omelets.

Add in the few times where they are open yet nobody is there because they were driving children to school..... this is not a business. It is a hobby!

So, to be totally fair... I give their food flavor a 5 Star Rating. I give their prices a 4 Star Rating. I give their overal appearance a 3 Star Rating (at best, possibly even a 2 Star) and I give their Service and Attitude a 1 STAR RATING.

Jarrell needs a REAL Breakfast Place for us to eat at, other than the options...
