We had time to spare, so we decided to eat at this Huddle House in Jasper Tn. Most of tables were not wiped down so we sat down at one and i wiped the crumbs off with my hand. Waitree showed up after about 5 or 6 minutes got our drinks, and took our order. We were sitting where we could see the people in the kitchen. The lady in kitchen said order up and it sat there for about 10 minutes. We had to leave, we had been waiting for 30 mintutes on our food. My daughter told waitress to fis it to go..BIG MISTAKE!! We had to be at Birmingham by 3 or there would be severe consequences. Once I opened the to go boxes, I almost threw up. My husbands eggs that were suppose to be over easy were still raw they were not over easy..not over at all he ordered bacon and he got burnt sausage. The waitress dropped his toast on floor and threw some very very light toasted bread in with his food. My eggs were supposed to be over medium they were cooked so long they were brown and like rubber the toast tasted like it was cooked in microwave also like rubber, the country ham was burnt on one side and almost raw on the other side. My daughter got a philly steak and fries, they were cold and Grandson got mozarello sticks they were also cold..we paid 54 dollars and change for this food that not 1 of our 3 puppies would even eat...this was the worse food and the worse service, and also the dirtiest restaurant that I have EVER been in, I will NEVER NEVER eat at another Huddle House. I have read your reviews and you NEVER do anything except say that you will use this comment to better help your service.I can tell you how to better your service. CLEAN HOUSE, FIRE EVERYONE THAT WAS AT THIS RESTAURANT ON DECEMBER 26 DAY SHIFT, AND HIRE EMPLOYEES THAT CAN SMILE AND THAT DEFINITELY COOK AND CLEAN BECAUSE THE STAFF YOU HAD THAT DAY, WAS NONE IF THE ABOVE. I have worked in fast food and I have worked in restaurants wherr the food wasn't prepared so fast, but I have NEVER AND WOULD NEVER SERVE ANYONE THE FOOD THAT YOUR EMPLOYEES SERVED TO ME AND MY FAMILY ON DECEMBER 26, 2023..IT DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE TO BE CALLED FOOD... this is the first review I have ever given like this to a restaurant, I usually tru to find something good to say, but there was silverware in the floor and urine in the bathroom floor, NO EXCUSE FOR A PUBLIC RESTAURANT TO BE THIS NASTY OR THIS DISRESPECTFUL TO PAYING CUSTOMERS...we were nice to the waitress, she wasn't very nice to us, she NEVER CAME BACK TO OUR TABLE AFTER TAKING OUR ORDER...WE HAD NO REFILLS OFFERED TO US ON OUR DRINKS, AND MY DAUGHTER HAD TO GO ASK HER TO BRING US OUR FOOD. AND SHE STOOD AT THERE WHERE THE COOKS SIT THE FOOD WHEN IT'S READY AND JUST STARED AT IT....MY DAUGHTER WENT BACK AND TOLD HER THAT WE HAVD BEEN THERE FOR AROUND 40 TO 45 MINUTES AND WE HAD TO GO , SO JUST PUT IT IN TO GO PLATES... THE WORKERS WERE MORE INTERESTED IN TALKING ON THEIR PHONE AND TAKING DOWN CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS THAN WAITING ON THEIR CUSTOMERS...MY HUSBAND ALSO SENT IN A REVIEW WITH THE RECEIPT...I THINK IT WOULD BE RESPECTABLE.OF YOU TO GIVE HIM A REFUND...AND I AM SURE THAT ANYONE THAT READS THIS REVIEW...
Read moreMy wife and I were in TN for a concert. We stayed at the adjacent hotel, approx a 2-minute walk away from this restaurant. We were thrilled that Huddle House was so close, as there was nothing else nearby open at this hour. I place a very simple order (Bacon cheeseburger meal and prime rib tips dinner) online, at 1:36 am. I recieve an order confirmation, with a time for pickup of 1:51am. I wait until 1:50 am, and walk over to collect our purchased food. I walk in and there isn't a soul to be seen. Finally a single employee appears and I tell her I am picking up an online order. She says, "here's the thing..." and proceeds to tell me that she is the only cook (and by all appearances, the only staff member present) and doesn't know how to make the order (the bacon cheeseburger, fries, steak tips and vegetable medley was apparently to complicated for her to figure out.) I request a refund since she can't provide the food I've already paid for. She says I need to come back in the morning, when the manager is there. So, I return the next morning and explained what happened to the 3 staff members that were standing at the front. They responded sympathetically, and find it just as unacceptable as I did. A staff member named Taylor took all of my information down, including all the order and payment details. She apologized and promised that my refund would appear within 7-10 days. That was 11/05/23. Fast forward 16 days, we still have no refund so I call the restaurant...This time I am met with the opposite response that I received last time. The alleged manager refused me a refund because, "it was on a different shift, and I don't have your ticket." (She was very defensive and unreasonable, as if I was asking her to take $30 out of her own pocket.)
It was an online order, so I know it can be accessed. Not only are we being STOLEN from, but I'm also treated like an idiot if they think I will believe any of their nonsense.
They told me to call the owner if I want a refund, but would not provide me a way to do so. "Google it if you want it." Well I can't just call the owner, as the location is owned by a restaurant management group, S&K Brothers Inc.
I recommend you not patronize this restaurant, as they like to steal (at least 2) customers' money by not providing the product that we paid for.
Food gets zero stars, as I can't rate something I didn't recieve. "Service" should be zero, but I don't want anyone to disregard this review because of too low a rating. Atmosphere is 1 star, as Huddle House is a pretty unappealing place now, due to the poor atmosphere created by either weponized incompetence, or the vitriol thrown at me for daring to ask for my money back.
I'm no expert, but I feel like this will cost the restaurant more than the $30 they...
Read moreThis morning at 8:50am My husband and I wanted to get breakfast together before he had to work at 10am. We stood there for a few minutes waiting to be seated while everyone walk around like we where not there. So we sat our selves and waited. One lady at the front told the waitress that we have been waiting and no one took our order. That is when the waitress said "they just sat down". About 15 mins later , the waitress walks over, puts down silverware and just stood there looking at us (that was weird). I told her what I wanted and then I had to tell her again and then she said "oh let me get a book to write your order". She came back and I said again "french toast, scrambled eggs and sausage, she replied "what meat?". Again I said sausage. My husband ordered and we both asked for coffee. 15 mins later still no coffee. She was looking at us and I asked if we could get the coffee and she started to whine and yelled across the restaurant that she was doing the best she can (while just standing in one spot for 5 mins). I finally said I was done with this and got up to leave and told the other lady at the front counter to cancel my order and I explained why and the lady said "the waitress is very busy and doing a lot of stuff" I responded with, "I can't just get coffee? I have been sitting there for a wh......That is when the lady cut me off before I got done talking and told me "you can leave now". The restaurant was only 1/4 filled with people and the empty tables had dirty dishes on them.. The attitude a from both was unreal for someone who works with the public. The sad part is that they disrespected a disabled veteran and they had no clue I was disabled. I hope no other veterans are treated like that or any other paying costumers. 😡this review is from Erika Giddens and in no way my husband was part of this review. Any issues about this review should be addressed directly to me. I don't do 3rd...
