LeJeune's Bakery Inc. — Restaurant in Jeanerette

Saw a Youtube vid where a guy stopped in for some bread. I decided to order ginger cake and French bread for a cross country delivery. The ginger cake is beyond expectations. It is like taking a step back in time. For some strange reason the second bite is where it starts to take off. I have had all kinds of friends and family try it from 4 years old to 77 and everyone loves it. The French bread was also excellent. Soft with a nice crust and a fantastic taste. I have used it with butter, olive oil, balsamic and as garlic bread. While it isn't cheap to have it delivered I found the price and quality to be well worth it. I will definitely be ordering...

I created an ortho-map of the area for my X-plane simulator and saw it as I "flew" down Bayou Teche. Last month I was visiting a friend and we happened to be driving through town and I happened to remember that the bakery was here and we looked it up. I am glad that we did. The bread is excellent. I love it with a glass of milk. I bought some Ginger Cake to take back to Texas for my wife. Stopped in about a month or so ago.. I was passing through this area and had saw a little video with Ricky and Hollywood in it . I stopped in for the French bread and ginger cakes are outstanding. So good.. I love the feeling of this lil bakery in the south.. makes you feel at home and time slows down when u there. It's worth the trip and the nostalgia is awesome... beautiful lil town of...
