El Espolon - Rock Hill Rd — Restaurant in Jefferson City

So, we finally got to go out to eat after several weeks of sheltering at home because of COVID-19 and businesses being closed. We were enjoying our evening on the patio. It took a very long time to get our main entree and the server kept coming out and apologizing for the wait. Something about they had just gotten some new cooks in. We were fine with the wait since it was nice and we had the chips and salsa. We finally got our food and barely had time to enjoy it when a couple guys walked out on the patio and stood right by the doors and appeared to be drunk or high. They were getting loud and making strange commentary. Another patron near us asked if they were talking to him and it was on after that. Threats were being made by the 2 drunk guys that they would kill anybody who tried to call the police on them. The El Espolon crew came out and surrounded the guys and diffused the situation. However, I think the crew were unaware that threats to kill people were being made. The guys stood there awhile longer and then went back inside and went out the back area. The cops were called but I think the guys departed the area. There is a bar nearby and we had heard some crew saying the guys had been kicked out of there before they wandered out to the El Espolon patio with no purpose but to cause trouble. I loved El espolon it was delicious my daughter took me there and I was going to get some unusual dish that I never had but at the last minute I picked a chimichanga and it was so good I ate every bite on my plate! I didn't catch our server's name but he was handsome tall and very good at what he was doing! My granddaughter wanted to go someplace else but her mom talked her into getting three tacos and a burrito grilled and she ate the tacos and was stuffed and took the burrito home. My daughter had some type of steak fajita and it looked really delicious. That was the best chimichanga I've had in ages! Some places I've been overcooked them and they're hard or they're dark Brown... Five Stars on everything except atmosphere there was some noisy little kids being bratty and making loud noises and some lady behind this was laughing hysterically really loud so that kind of took a couple Stars off the atmosphere but it wasn't El espolon's fault. It was just rude people that don't care if other people enjoy their dining experience or not. I will definitely...

I am absolutely disgusted with this place and I will not be back. First off, me and my two workers all got chicken entrees which were cold. When we went to pay, I told the cashier that our food was cold and we didn't eat it, so he told me to take it up with my server. After I told my server, he still tried making me pay full price for all of our entrees anyways. After I asked for a manager, he claimed that he was a manager and proceeded to ask what we all had to eat. After I offered to pay for my half eaten entree and all of our drinks, he got an attitude with me and joked that I don't get to pick what I pay for. As someone who has worked in the food and service industry for 7+ and now owns a construction business, I know this is not how you handle customer interactions, especially when it comes to cold food. After arguing with the manager about what I was paying for, I still paid for my cold entree and left a generous tip for the server. I do not recommend this establishment for poor food quality and...
