I was here about an hour ago. I pulled into a car hop spot and pressed the button. I sat there for 15 minutes, no one came across the intercom. The light eventually quit flashing so I assume someone responded on their end, but never received communication. I pressed the button again, waited at least 5 more minutes before someone made contact. Ordered a shake and some food and drinks for my kids. Food took forever to come out. Considering it was 2 plain hot dogs with fries I feel the wait was definitely excessive. When everything was finally brought out, the cherry wasn't on my shale which in itself is absolutely no big deal. Asked for some ketchup and to have a couple cherries brought out with it. Took my kids to the park to eat, they ate their hot dogs but wouldn't touch the fries. Soggy with grease and looked like they were made hours ago. I ate 2 of the cherries and when I picked up the last one (go figure) there was a long eyelash on it. Either a strand of a fake eyelash or someone wearing thick mascara was playing with their lashes over these cherries. I called to speak with a manager, who's exact words were "that's weird because no one here is even wearing makeup". With a very condescending tone. I responded by saying I highly doubt that. She continued with more attitude, speaking over me and speaking to me like I was being rude and yelling at her. Iwasn't. I work in the service industry, and im at a very busy park full of young children. She then handed the phone off to another manager who refused to give me her name. She spoke to me like a spoiledbrat who just thinks they run the show. I was tryingto come to a solution but had to call back THREE times because i was hung up on every time i tried to tell the second manager I was simply trying to answer a question when the first manager started talking to me like I was starting a problem. Whoever these "managers" were sounded like they were just barely 18 year old kids with NO CLUE as to what good customer service looks like, and have never even heard of the term "conflict resolution". I tell you, I do not wear make up. And I don't wear false eyelashes. I will absolutely be calling and speaking with the general manager about this. I know this sounds so silly, but as someone who has worked in the service industry for 14 years and spent over 2 years as Bar management at one location, I would NEVER interact with a paying guest in this way. It would be one thing if I called screaming and being demanding, but I didn't. I mainly called to make them aware that this had happened. I will be getting my money back and I definitely will not be returning to this location. Even worse than one expects to deal with at a fast food chain. Read moreI came to eat here with my family. We parked in a stall. We ordered and everything was fine. We tried to pay at the stall and it did not go through, the screen said card reader error. The bellhop came with our food and we gave her the card and told her the card reader was not working. She told us it was fine and that it didn’t work a lot of the time. She went to run our card again. She came back out and said it had declined and asked if we had our card locked. We told her no and my partner checked his phone to see if it had declined on the bank app. It had not. We assumed it was another card reader error, she went and tried to pay with it at another stall. She told us it had declined again, but my partner checked his phone again and there was no notification that it was declined. We asked if she wanted our food back since we had no other way of paying. She went and asked her manager and she said yes so she took back the food except our one ocean water. We thought it might be the system that wasn’t working so we went across town to the Eastland sonic, ordered the same food, and surprise our card worked. I wasn’t too upset until I told the worker there what had happened and he had a laugh, he then said that they are supposed to type in card numbers if that happens.
