When my family arrived for dinner, the dining room was only half full. We were promptly greeted and our order was taken. That’s where everything went rather sour. Our dishes were not brought out at the same time and our waitress never came back to check on us because she was too busy talking to a huge table of men across the room. We went our entire meal with no refills, no acknowledgement, etc. Our waitress seemed to have multiple tables (6+) while other waitresses would have 1-2 tables. Maybe they were in training, I’m not sure. The dynamics of the way the front of house was ran was chaotic.
I asked for marinara and was brought salsa. I never got the opportunity to ask for a replacement because our waitress never came back (nor did any other waitress or staff). When she came back to divvy up the check, she was extremely rude and condescending. She dropped our to-go cake on the floor, in the container, and the icing plopped off into the floor. We were not offered a replacement piece… we had to ask! I am well aware that those who are working during these times are generally working very hard; however, this is some of the worst customer service that I have ever received. Additionally, our booth’s seats were covered in thick, sticky black duct tape that stuck to our pants. Gnats were buzzing about. I wouldn’t return based on my experience. Despite the terrible service AND experience, the food was very good, hence...
Read moreWe ordered for supper when we stayed overnight in town 6/21. The website has not been updated since early last year. But there was a pic of the menu. We chose Carl's beef sandwich. Usually calling it a beef sandwich, plus having mushroom gravy makes one think it is sliced beef. It is NOT. It is just an "ok" hamburger on a hoagie. With a bunch of small potato chips and pieces. Jalapeno poppers just "ok" also. I ordered a side salad that the menu said had mixed greens, tomatoes, carrots and cheese. It had iceberg lettuce with just five 1/2 to 1 inch semiripe tomato pieces, a few carrot shreds, and less than 1 tablespoon of shredded cheese. Overall, a 30 DOLLAR meal wasnt much better than fast food. In fact, my husband said he wished we went to Arby's. Can you say....
Read moreLooking for a quick bite while passing through town? Check out the Pizza Spot. We ordered a 21 inch meat lovers pizza and each of us got a dessert. The pizza was good with a hand tossed crust and plenty of toppings. The desserts were even better than the pizza. We ordered slices of an Italian Cream cake, a Stawberry Crunch cake, and an Oreo cake. The Oreo was our least favorite, and the Strawberry Crunch was the hands down favorite of all three of us. Service was ok, but be prepared to ask for anything you need. Restrooms were clean but there was not a changing table available. So be prepared for that if you have littles. Overall, this beats a fast food chain, but...
