Ordered food around 6:20. Get in the drive through and get there at 6:45 and its not ready, but the girl in the window says we can pay now and pick it up later. We declined and go through the drive through again, then the lady informs us they have no chicken, and then asked if we wanted to change our chicken boxes to fish sandwiches instead, even after mom said just do fish boxes. The lady wanders off and comes back a minute later to finally ask us if we wanted our fish grilled or fried. They didn't ask us that when we called in to order. Really not competition, this is the best place to eat in Jena. These people can cook a juicy burger, fry fish like no tmrw, make a bad ass poboy, everything is top notch. Weve eaten here pretty regularly my whole life and this is the ONLY restaurant in town that has not been a consistent disappointment, its phenomenal EVERY time. I got the 2 piece fried fish with 5 piece shrimp combo. The fish were excellent but the fried shrimp were to greasy, salty and tough. The tarter sauce tasted like mayo with alittle garlic seasoning in it. The french fries were not cooked all the way. The coleslaw was great. Wish I would have gotten just coleslaw and fried fish.
