Vermonters love their local creemee places and everybody will claim their town has the best one. I’m from out-of-state and don’t have an attachment to any specific town here, so here’s my unbiased opinion after trying MANY different creemees across the state over 20 years visiting: Palmer Lane Maple has the best maple creemee I have ever tasted in Vermont! There is no comparison - every other maple creemee I’ve tried has this fake, artificial taste (and many don’t even have a maple taste at all). Sure, they might be creamy, but check and see the ingredients…so many creemee spots use fake powdered soft serve mix and artificial flavors. Not even real maple!! Palmer Lane literally has their own sugarhouse and uses their own maple syrup and real local milk to make their creemees. You can see the ingredients right inside the window when you’re ordering!
This place also has tons of amazing maple treats inside including snacks, candies, maple syrup, and more! They even have other local Vermont-themed products, merch, and a lot of other stuff. When you first visit, be sure to step inside to see what they’re selling! The entire town of Jericho is at this ice cream shop in the evenings - it’s that good! Anyone that comes here becomes an instant regular. They have many different creemee flavors to choose from - not a ton all at once, but they rotate them on a weekly basis so you’re able to try lots of different flavors all the time. I believe they change flavors every Tuesday (you might need to verify that). They have everything from maple, chocolate, vanilla, ginger, orange, coffee, peppermint, strawberry, black cherry, pumpkin, peach, and so much more! They have sorbets, vegan options, gluten-free cones, and best of all - they have pints to-go that you can bring home and enjoy over multiple days!! No matter if it’s a sundae, milkshake, maple lemonade slushee, or just a simple maple creemee on a cone, I will always find room for Palmer Lane Maple.
Pro tip: ask to get your creemee stacked instead of twisted! If, for example, they have a peach/maple twist, ask to get the flavors stacked on top of one another so you can try peach and maple separately! My favorite flavors are peach, chocolate, coffee, pumpkin and maple! Maple is THE BEST! And even the chocolate tastes more like “real” chocolate. I don’t know how they do it…when we vacation in Vermont we come here almost every day for weeks on end and never get tired. Come here when you’re driving by - it’s worth...
Read moreA local friend insisted we visit Palmer Lane Maple, and now we know why! From the moment we pulled in, we could tell this place is a local treasure. There was a long line when we arrived, but it moved surprisingly fast thanks to the friendly, efficient staff who clearly take pride in their work. Everyone greeted customers with genuine smiles, making the wait part of the fun.
I ordered the Real Maple Twist Black Raspberry (large in a cup), and it was simply outstanding - creamy, smooth, and bursting with flavor, with the maple perfectly complementing the tart sweetness of the black raspberry. My wife went for the Maple Ice Cream in a cone with sprinkles, and she couldn’t stop raving about how rich and authentic the maple flavor was. You can tell they use high-quality, fresh ingredients that truly set them apart.
The ambiance is pure Vermont charm - a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere with plenty of outdoor seating and standing space. Whether you’re sitting under the sun, tree or chatting with other visitors, it feels like a community gathering spot.
It’s easy to see why Palmer Lane Maple is award-winning - their pure Vermont maple syrup and ice cream flavors are on another level. Excellent service, incredible flavors, and a setting that makes you slow down and savor every bite. We’ll...
Read moreWe hired the palmer creemee truck for our wedding and it was a massive hit!! Most of our guests were traveling from out of state and we thought this was a great way to show off Vermont. Some people were expecting the other famous Vermont ice cream brand but everyone has had that and we wanted to show off what makes Vermont so special!! We got maple and my personal favorite black raspberry and they were both a huge hit. They arrived as we were walking back after some photos alone with our photographer and videographer and they saw us and turned the music on the truck and it was a great way of announcing they had arrived. We had a cake as well that was out all night so everyone assumed that was the desert so when the truck showed up some people even said to us "wait is this for us!?". Most people had never been to a wedding with an ice cream truck so it was already a special treat. But they couldn't get over how unique of a wedding desert it was and how fresh and delicious the creemee’s were. Colleen was also so easy to communicate with and made everything so easy in the planning processes. Palmers is the best creemee's you'll find in Vermont but don't pass up on the idea of them at your wedding. Its...
