I've passed by this restaurant several times and it always seemed busy counting by the number of cars in the parking lot so I wanted to give it a try. We had dinner Friday night around 6:30ish, restaurant was not packed, but there were a few customers there. The restaurant is a nice size and the high ceilings make it feel more open. There is a bar if you prefer not to sit at a table. There's TV's showing music videos, news, sports etc. The music was live and to our surprise they have live music/entertainment on Friday. Both of the singers were good. While we browsed their menu, we were served chips and salsa. My mom always told me you could judge how good the food at a restaurant would be by the chips and salsa. Let me tell you, the chips and salsa did not disappoint. The chips were crunchy and warm. The red salsa was thick, not watery and had a very good spicy flavor. We finally decided on our food and decided to get a drink. When we told the waitress we wanted a Bloody Mary, she looked confused. Nonetheless, she showed back up with what seemed to be a Bloody Mary. Nope. Really just tasted like Clamato juice and tequila, not vodka. The rim of the cup had some type of chili powder and possibly chamoy or some tamarind paste. Needless to say, not a fan. I then ordered a Pina Colada and that drink was well made! They can also serve it on the actual pineapple shell if you'd like. I decided on the cup instead. We had oysters which were clean, nice size and tasted so good. Then our food came out. Everything had a great taste. Well seasoned and fresh. The blackened fish was cooked just right and the fried fish had the right amount of breading. The fried rice was tasty and fluffy, but the serving size was fairly small compared to other seafood restaurants. We also ordered boiled shrimp in their medium spice level and even though we ordered medium, those bad boys were too spicy to actually enjoy. To sum it up, we had a good dinner, in a lively environment with good service and would...
Read moreThe waitress approached us and started talking spanish to us and we told her we don't speak spanish. So, she literally walked away and looked us weirdly. After that me and my sister tried speaking spanish as respect to order and so she can understand us. Even though she did not put the effort in to understand us she is ignorant. Moreover, she took the pen ans paper and put her whole hand on the center of the table and started copying the order we pointed at exactly. I thought that this was unprofesdional because she started writing it on the table. Anyways, the meal my sister got was a small grilled tilapia combo that cost 12 dollars and everything next to the order is about the same price. Tell me why she charged us a red snapper that costs 35 dollars by itself!!!!! Very disappointed and we ate it because we waited for so long and we didn't want to wait longer. We were okay with the payment but because of the server we were not satisfied. And what I disliked about her service, is her telling us to tip her ! Like girl we r gonna tip you but with that attitude we tipped her low. Again, we did not mind paying....it just I thought this place was called "USA" Seafood. Please accommodate with non spanish...
Read moreI have been dining at this establishment for over five years. Recently, the quality of customer service has taken a major downfall. On my last visit, the bartender served me a mug of lime juice with my beer and upcharged me whenever I just asked for a Corona with lime and salt. She told me me that i asked her for a mug of lime juice, which is not the case at all. Whenever I told the bartender I only asked for a lime with my beer she was extremely rude and yanked the mug of lime juice away, even though she still charged me for the lime juice. Talk about not getting what you pay for. I have had this same bartender serve me at a table as a waitress and she was very pleasent. Only behind the bar, she applied her different persona where she treats her customers very badly and impolite since she knows the bar will bring her money in regardless unlike the dining room which can be slow and bring in low tips. Whenever they brought out my oysters with my a lemon wedge, I asked for limes and they refused saying the limes are only for drinks. I ended up having to pay a $1 for half a lime to garnish my oysters to pair with. I will never be...
