Marsala Salsa Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Johnson

I wish i could write a review about the food, however, we went on a busy night and they were clearly short staffed. We were told there were no available tables at the time but one would be available shortly. When one became available we asked if it was possible to add 2 extra chairs as we had people joining us. We were told they could find us 2 more chairs. After about 15 mins sitting at the table they finally came to ask us what we would like to drink and told us they'd be over shortly to take our order and thanked us for our patience. It started off great. We got our drinks and then sat another 30 mins and Noone had come over. The 6 person table who got seated 10 mins before us already had they're plates so we assumed maybe we were forgotten about. We couldn't get anyone's attention so we went up and asked, we were told that it would be another 20 mins til they could take our order and about another 40 mins til we would get our food as the kitchen was "backed up". Even though we appeared to be the only table without food. With my 5 year old already getting impatient with the almost hour we had been there, we made the decision to pay for our drinks and leave. The lady who sat us came to the table while we were putting our jackets on and told us if we hadn't added 2 more people. It was a bad experience for us and wish we had been told in the beginning that by adding 2 more people to our table we would be waiting 2 hours so we could have made other...

Johnson has a wonderful new restaurant. The menu is eclectic and interesting. It has Mexican, Jamaican, and Indian. I attached a picture of part of the menu.

I sat at the bar. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. I had the Shrimp Sagg Curry. The food was served nice and hot. The Shrimp, sagg and rice were fantastic. Also, I loved the cute little Nan bread.

The dining room is colorful and a touch rustic. A few decorative sombreros on the wall and objects on the wall.

The leaves are starting to change in Northern, Vermont. This dinner was a nice end to a day driving through the beautiful mountains. I look forward to stopping in again to try...

Service was SLOW. We came just after 7pm on a Saturday. It was slightly busy, but also appears there were only a couple people working. Our server was nice, however.

Food options are definitely an interesting mix of Italian, Mexican and Caribbean. Our appetizer of chips and salsa took much longer than it should have to make it to the table.

Drinks took awhile to make it to the table, including the complementary water.

Overall, unimpressed with this place. Timeliness of getting a table, to getting our order taken, to getting anything on table took way too long and definitely leaves a bad taste...
