Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Johnston City

The wait at the drive-thru was excessive, with cars waiting in line on the road. When we reached the window, the majority of the employees were not helping, but talking off to the side. My wife ordered a medium salted caramel cheesecake blizzard, and I ordered a medium mint oreo blizzard with extra mint. Both of our blizzards were only about 3/4 of the way full, and only the top inch or so actually had any of the ingredients. The majority of both of our blizzards were nothing more than vanilla soft serve ice cream. I hope the manager and owner of this establishment use this review to address the issues with their employees. Not taking pride in your work leads to poor reviews and loss of future business. I expected better from DQ, especially when they charge an exorbitant amount for their product. With the possibility of a locally owned and operated ice cream shop coming to Johnston City, I would expect a steep decline in sales unless the staff begin to take pride in their work and provide the product as it...

I ordered 3 banana splits online get there to pick them up and they tell me they don't have bananas so what would I like in place of bananas. I said I'd rather have something else a banana split isn't a banana split without the banana. So they were not happy it was obvious. I watched them make my brownie heathbar ice cream thru the drive thru window. No one was wearing gloves. They shoved the brownie in the cup bare hands countinesly wiping there hand on the sweat pants in-between making it, rubbing there hands together to get the sticky off from the chocolate. Needless to say my stomach turned and I paid 25 bucks for ice cream that was thrown out. I normally dont complain but I saved that money as a treat I can't afford to do very often. I'm very disappointed and disgusted. Hopefully in writing this I'll save another family from wasting money and disappointing there children.
