This spot is my current go-to for pizza when dining at home. It's located on the westernmost end of Johnston's Hartford Avenue (Rte.6), practically on the border of Scituate and the way into Connecticut. It also has the added benefit of being the first actual pizza place one encounters if one is traveling westbound from Rte.6 or I-295 (gas stations notwithstanding). I like their pizza and especially their calzones, done in a Greek-style, which in RI means at least; that the crust and dough are medium - neither thick, nor thin - just somewhere comfortably in the middle. This allows the pie to develop a good, crispy bake underneath, and also a very crusty crust (is that redundant??). The calzones are fantastic, filled with whatever you want - and a buttload of cheese both inside and out of the 'zone. Not a lotta sauce inside, though, mostly on top or they can (and I recommend it) serve that on the side upon request for to-go orders and when dining in. Subs are fairly good, but not spectacular, and all prices are competitive and reasonable. One small note for those that prefer pickup to delivery; on busy nights they tend to underestimate the amount of time B4 pickup, I always add 10 minutes to whatever figure given o'er the phone, leaving me with a minimal...
Read moreFor starters. This place has good food. If your looking for a bite to eat near Rt6 In Johnston it's not a bad place to consider. I've only had 4 items on the menu. BLT, french fries, sweet potato fries and veal parm. So far all of them have been great and always the same when I return so don't have to worrie about it not tasting the same next time.
The place is small inside For some reason they have a dining area and booths but don't allow seating. This forces everyone to stand in the waiting area. Basically elbow to elbow.
They can get very busy during the evening so expect a wait time ushally 15-20 mins.
Otherwise great food and friendly staff. They even fixed a discrepancy with a sandwich as fast as they could for me and had no problem going above and beyond for...
Read moreExpresso’s Pizza never disappoints! We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a supreme pizza, and both were absolutely fantastic. The pepperoni pizza had the perfect amount of crispy, slightly curled pepperoni on top of a cheesy, flavorful crust. The supreme pizza was loaded with fresh toppings—peppers, onions, sausage, and more—every bite was packed with flavor. The crust was just the right mix of crispy and chewy, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. If you’re looking for top-notch pizza, Expresso’s is the place...
