You could go to a box store but why would you when you could go to TNC, get a home cooked meal and support a local business. You couldn't get more at home feeling unless you could talk them into putting a couch in there. Establishment is spacious and always clean. Food is delicious, portions are plentiful, prices are cheap and staff outstanding. Don't miss out....stop at TNC's. It's on my frequent list.
Update: I wish I could leave another review but it won't let me. Soo I have to comment on my original review. Let me paint this picture for you all.....the place was jammed packed last night. There was just enough seats at the bar for my group of 5. Bill was tending the bar and although beyond busy, immediately greeted each of us, got our drink orders and served us with our beverage of choice within a minute or two. He quickly obtained our food orders which were packed with special requests. While we were waiting for our food, our beverages were never empty. Nor did I see any other patrons. I had a little bit of time to just watch what was happening that most overlook. Bill was tending to at least 15 people, was all over the place and never missed a beat. Servers Jenna and Kelly, (I'm sure there were a few more but these are the ones I knew) were tending to the rest of the establishment and running around like crazy. I was sitting in a spot where I could see into the kitchen and the door flapped open and closed continuously with food coming out every few minutes. I got a peek into the kitchen and from my position, it was very clean, very busy as you could imagine and the Owner, Chuck, was working with his staff helping to get the orders out. Along with Chuck, his wife and Owner, Theresa, was helping in the kitchen and helping the servers with tending to patrons as well. They all were working like a well oiled machine. Our food came out quickly, was all delivered as ordered and delicious. Among the chaos, there was not one complaint or send backs. During this time Bill was taking additional requests from our group and although tending to a bar full, made you feel like you were the only one sitting there. As things started to slow down.....Chuck and Theresa came out and took tine to talk with their patrons giving it like a Cheers style setting. With all that said, the establishment was clean, tables cleared moments after customers were completed and waiting for incoming patrons. I frequent TNC's, they deliver a strong 5 out of 5 rating all day long but last night, they deserve a 6 out of 5. We will definitely be back and recommend TNC, their staff and their owners to...
Read moreI went in there yesterday afternoon 4/14/14 to relax and kill about an hour and a half before my transportation arrived so I could go downtown. Needed to get some alcohol in my system, I was having a rough day. It was rather warm outside, and I was constantly fighting with transportation problems that day. So I ordered a double shot. (I drink those) It was really difficult to see the actual alcohol in that glass. Not quite sure why they couldn't pour a proper double, but whatever. It was $6.00 and I was done drinking it in around 45 seconds. After the shot, I thought to myself, "well then now what?" I was just sitting there with an hour 29 mins and 15 seconds to burn still.
Noticed it was rather warm inside that place for some reason. So I ordered another one, and just let it sit there while I went outside for a couple mins. Didn't want to drink it down so fast this time. THat shaved about 4 minutes or so, and I was ready to take the shot. So I took it. More people started comin in, and it started to get real hot in there. "why is it so hot in here" were my thoughts. Couldn't figure it out, and it started to get on my nerves. Now im sweating. My armpits were beginning to stink because of the hot humid temp in that place. Then I happened to look up in the window by the end of the bar, and saw something strange. - I saw an air conditioner unit. Normally, those type of appliances tend to cool a place down. This one was different. I didn't hear any of the typical ac noises that they make because of all the loud, sappy, country music that was being played on the radio. I assumed that the ac unit was actually OFF!
But I did realize that there was no way I could kill off the rest of my time by sucking down 6 dollar shots every minute or so while being roasted alive listening to all that. I would have had to bring about $540 dollars or so, a good pair of earplugs, and an ice pack. (or something) So I decided it was time to just go. And I wasn't about to just slither around needlessly outside the business waiting for my ride to arrive, so I just walked the rest of the...
Read moreFirst visit. I had been meaning to stop but usually (like today) I had perishable groceries. So I stopped but ordered take-away. Small pizza with pepperoni and deep fried breaded mushrooms.. pizza is described as thin and crispy crust...maybe it was more crispy before I carried it home in a box. Still the crust was good, the small (9" according to menu) was closer to 11". Pretty good pizza, a description that applies to about 50-60% of the pizza I have had in my life. Another 15-20% are OK, 10% are really good and 10% will only be bought once and remembered for all the wrong reasons. Mushrooms were great, but I am sure these were straight from the food service merchant freezer. That's ok. I don't think I have ever had breaded mushrooms made fresh. The bartender was very friendly and will be a large part of the reason I go back and eat in. The business is for sale according to the sign out front. Maybe the owner wishes to retire as a second sign out front mentioned a 30-year...
