Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Joliet

Me and my family went to the new dickies in Bradley Illinois.We were so thrilled about trying it especially since it was a new bbq place and we had just got off the highway and thought “hey maybe this be a good bbq place” so we stopped and as we sat there making our decision and asking questions we ended up ordering 2 briskets sandwiches which one order was a combo which came with a side and I chose fries and my husband had 2 side and ordered Mac and cheese and some bake beans and after asking several times if they had bone less wings they said 3x yes so we placed our order and paid and waited while we thought they were preparing our fresh food.well maybe 5-10 minutes later or order was ready and when we recived they forgot my fries and the brisket sandwiches weren’t even pleasant to look at at first glance and me and my husband looked at one another like what is this the brisket was so tough and chewy and cold and asked for bbq sauce which barely had any.Than my daughter recived her wings which were not boneless.So I went up and told them we were not happy with the food and needed a refund and than they also said that they didn’t have boneless wings smh and I said we asked u several times and u said yes!! First, the service was only superficially nice. I didn't notice at first, but really noticed after I'd paid. Quality customer service is an art, so I'm not furious, though I did leave feeling deflated.

Second, this is fast food & aren't we paying enough for everything already? Tipping, to me, is for sit-down meals. I did tip & pretty well. 😞 It is difficult for me not to, when asked. Yet, it leaves me not wanting to return. They bragged about how big their bonuses are & I'm here, trying to see what goals I can afford to work on.

Third, I was overcharged. As if the almost $17 menu price wasn't outrageous already, it rang up for over $22, before the tip, so almost $27 for 1 person to eat 1 meal. I look at the small sides, lack of dessert or drink, & I feel angry. I had to think, what am I feeling? It's anger. So, I was venting to a friend & she said to leave a review. I'm not doing it to be vindictive. I just thought you should know this Texas boy has moved on. I haven't even been able to enjoy the meal. It sits in the bag, getting cold because I'm too upset to enjoy it.

So, I was told there was BBQ sauce. Glad I asked for extra, because that's all I got. The meat. Wow, possibly the fattiest meat I've ever had. I don't know, maybe I rubbed them the wrong way. I can't think why otherwise I would have to have...

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!! No respect. No customer service. Do not go to Elwood, IL location. The food is not worth it. Spent $45. The portions are for a 10yr old. Literally. They completely messed up order. My #8 was supposed to have "Butter, Sour Cream, Shredded Cheddar, Green Onions, Bacon, Beef Brisket".... it literally had JUST chicken. No butter, bacon, onions, brisket, etc. NOTHING! So when I called to complain, the employee stated "they didn't have any brisket. They are currently out." So then I replied, "Then why would you put chicken on my pain baked potato? There's none of the other ingredients in the potato! If you're out of brisket, then why would you throw chicken on a random potato?" Then the employee stayed " I can't hear you, can toy bring the food back in?" Excuse me? We've had a 4 minute conversation, and now you can't hear me? And you want me to bring the food back in?! The audacity! Better off at Portillo's! SERIOUSLY! NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR...
