Woody's Place — Restaurant in Jonesfield Township

Update 10/12/23 Yep. Like I figured,we went back again. Middle of the day on Thursday and kind of quiet. Still the food was very good, and still a very friendly waitress. I had a chicken fingers wrap which I liked. The only change I would make would be to grill it. I would bet I could get that if I ask next time. The burger was juicy and tasty good according to the ladies. The French fries are not salted which for me is an awesome thing. I need to watch the salt intake, and since the fries were smokin" hot, adding salt was easy and worked as well as having them add it, but controllable. Yep still liked it

Woodys...located in the tiny town of Merrill Michigan is an interesting place. Off of the main street they are an unassuming bar n grill with a pool table and music. The food was just north of average but in a good way. The prices are very good and the onion rings were a 5 for me and my wife. I'd go back again for sure, and I suspect we will be back. Heard good things about the perch dinner so, decided to give it a try. Started off by ordering drinks. Bud light draft and water with lemon. Server brought those and they were in small plastic cups and the cups were like two thirds filled. Ordered an Arnold Palmer with Vodka and it tasted like it had Fireball in it. I asked if they knew how to make it before ordering it and they said yes. Next was the meal. Orderd the perch dinner with potato and salad and appetizer of wings. Wings were at least decent but, the rest was awful. Salad was in a small coleslaw like cup and food came served on a paper plate with plastic wear. Now I've been to bars before and have never been served on paper. Server was not good or attentive and ended up taking the bill up to the bar myself and cashing out. They also tack on a charge for using a credit card also something that im not used to a bar doung to pay your bill. Needless to say wont recommend to anyone not...

The pizza is good if you prefer more deep dish style and ask for light cheese. Other wise half the pizza WILL be cheese.

Quesadilla is a tortilla filled with, what tastes like, boiled chicken, and 8 servings of cheap cheese (if you don't know what 8 servings looks like; one whole bag of Kraft shredded cheese has 8 servings. 1/4 cup is a serving.) It was LITERALLY oozing out the sides and inedible. I had to throw it away.

For real.... WHO MAKES QUESADILLAS WITH 90% CHEESE? GROSS!

I give them points for including some iceberg lettuce, some actually cold sour cream, and some, weird but okay, salsa.
