For the past 8 years we travel up to Central Michigan from the Chicagoland area to visit family at least twice a year and we make it a priority to visit Michigan’s BEST soft serve ice cream parlor. Merrill’s Ice Cream has been voted “best ice cream” two years in a row at the time this review was written. This is the place for delicious ice cream treats they have a vast variety of flavors. People seem to drive quite a distance for their creamy flavors a gentleman in line with us said when he has a craving for ice cream he drives 45 minutes just for as the locals call it whippy dip ice cream that's an hour and half round trip. I must say I was not disappointed. This was my first venture here. I will be back for another creamy treat. They also have hot dogs 🌭 coney dogs, nachos, and pretzels and cheese, to name a few....

Simply the best. Growing up near here, this was a summer staple. Flavors are amazing and the community is wonderful and friendly. And yes, in Merrill it just tastes better. I always make sure to stop here when we are home to grab a strawberry shortcake sundae. The biscuits are the best! The black raspberry soft serve is my next favorite.
