Deliberate food poisoning by one nasty creepy female after not tipping for a breakfast burrito. The entire staff was all incredibly friendly and sweet except for the one 35+ larger short woman (Emily maybe?) (rest of the female crew were tall and very kind and friendly) who works the register and bar/kitchen and took my order. I didn’t tip, it was a breakfast burrito and I already had to uber $30 surge price just to get there. I didn’t think I needed to tip for that. After not tipping, she began coldly glaring at me for over an hour, especially when my food was brought out, she came outside and just stood there eerily a bunch of times just staring point blank at me as I ate it, from afar. I started feeling drugged for 2 hours within 30 minutes, then extreme discomfort with painful stomach aches and just barely shat my shorts, thought it was my cold brew but I ordered it with almond milk (I’m not* lactose intolerant). Then I started getting real food poisoning in their bathroom repeatedly for 45 minutes, it was hell. I was nauseous the rest of the night and couldn’t stomach any food (I hadn’t eaten all day and this was at 5pm, so that’s over 16 hours at least of nothing else in my stomach before showing up here). There were dozens of patrons there and no one else had problems with their food but me. Slower time before busy Saturday evening 4-5pm as live music was just getting set up. This woman absolutely tampered with my food and no one has ever done something like this to me before, she was going in and out of the kitchen a lot when my food was being made. She was creepy, nobody else gave anything but normal friendly vibes, but not her. This needs to be reported, who do you think you are poisoning someone?? No way it was an accident with how much she was creepily and coldly glaring at me as I...

I want to start with saying that I’ll never let 1 bad experience define a place, the cocktail program here and service from the front of house staff is absolutely amazing. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back for beverages. We came on a Saturday morning for context.

The bartenders/front of house staff are rockstars. Polite, kind, and pay close attention to details from the cocktails they make to the espresso pulls. I had a Carajillo, Strawberry Fields, and my girlfriend had an Irish Coffee.

Now the reason why I’m leaving 4 stars (which I feel is generous) was the disappointing experience we had waiting for the food. Our entire table of 10 had ate while we were still waiting, a friend of ours mentioned that while he was heading to the restroom a gentleman from the kitchen staff called out my girlfriend’s name but handed it to another table. I asked that person from the back of house staff twice for an update and instead of him owning up to the mistake he kept us waiting. Right when I was cancelling the food, it happened to be ready.

Our entire table works in the food industry. From Front of house staff, chefs, to restaurant managers. We were as patient as possible because we know how it feels to be slammed with orders like that. But taking accountability for a mistake really goes a long way. A better ticket system and expo station is something that needs to be worked on here, especially with food that’s being prepared off-site and just being heated up in turbo chef ovens in the back.

Nonetheless, this place is a gem and look forward to...

I don’t get the hype. My girl was so confused about what chai or matcha to get. This cashier girl with tattoos was rude and correcting my girls ass for not knowing what to order… like come on at least help her out by recommending a good chai or matcha? The Italian sandwich took forever for just a warm bread with warm pepperoni or salami. Worst sandwich I’ve tried in Joshua tree or probably in 2025 lol. Hospital sandwiches are better. I kept looking the menu on Google and same cashier kept looking at me weird and pointed a sign that has a weekly rule or paragraph instead of showing me the food menu… my girl and I’d didn’t feel welcomed… Joshua tree coffee is better and they treat you like family, oh and they put 4 espressos shots in their large Lattes. Not just oat milk and ice like Mas O menos over hype drinks…This place needs a lot of help with customer service and their drinks need help too. This place is all hype or for tik tokers not for real coffee lovers. I came here twice and the 1st time I came also didn’t had a good experience either the photo thing was broken and felt so dead. Never again coming back and stay away if you’re a real coffee lover or matcha. There’s better tasting coffee in yucca valley and Joshua tree 👍

If you’re just looking a place to take good pictures then this is the spot for you. But if you’re really looking for bomb coffee, chai or matcha RUN far far away. Go to Joshua tree coffee or Frontier...

Came here a bit ago on a trip to Joshua Tree with some friends. We were trying to find a cute coffee shop/cafe to go to for a pick me up and stumbled across this place. I really liked it! It’s a very cute cafe, beautiful decorated to fit the environment of Joshua Tree while bringing a modern/hip/aesthetic vibe that makes it feel like it could belong in a more urban area. The inside is simple but cute. I loved that it is a coffee bar and cocktail lounge combined. We ordered our drinks to go but it looked like they had decent seating inside and outside. The menu was decent with different syrup options for you coffee/tea choices. I ordered an iced latte with caramel and it was tasty. The staff were nice, there were lots of little keepsake items you could buy like stickers and prints, lots of wine options, full bar, and they had body products and candles. The energy was very calm and relaxed inside. I didn’t know until reading other reviews that they have a photo booth out back. Will definitely check this place again in my next trip to Joshua Tree and will have to take a pic in the booth!

I spotted this place on Instagram and convinced my boyfriend to check it out. On the way, we kept wondering how such a gorgeous spot (according to Instagram) could possibly be thriving in the middle of nowhere. Google Maps called it a “cocktail bar” … and we were heading there at 9 a.m. Not sure what our plan was. 😅 When we pulled in, the parking lot was packed—first surprise. Inside, the guy at the register was incredibly friendly. He recommended the breakfast burrito (which was phenomenal, especially with the white garlic sauce). I ordered an iced latte, but then he casually said, “If you’re looking for something with espresso, you won’t find better than our espresso martini.” I mean… at 9 a.m.? Scratch the latte—espresso martini it is. 😂 The food? Amazing. The cocktails? Exactly what we didn’t know we needed. Atmosphere and service? Perfect. And the merch? Couldn’t resist—a hat and t-shirt came home with me. Will 100% be back next time we’re in the area.
