There is a variety of burgers salads and southern plates

9/17/20. Highly disappointed in the food tonight. My eagle nest salad was so small, it was in a small burger box. Barely any salad. My husband's hamburger bun was totally burnt in the center of the top. The burger cheese was fried flat. Our sweet potato fries were not typical amount and were floppy like a wet noodle. 11/24/20 Another problem dinner. My husband's cfc wanted gravy on the side and got no gravy. My back porch chicken only had the cheese on top. 12/5/20 Again, no baked potatoes. 12/28/21 That does it! No more eating here!!! The eagle's nest salad was a cold partial order without any onions, the sweet potato fries were a very small portion also cold! Both those items were $15! I first heard about it from a Bud Kennedy article calling it a must-have. Now, the name alone might scare some folks, but I’m not afraid of a little pecker, so I was game.

It’s about an hour drive each way for me, so I did the smart thing—called ahead. Multiple times. Every time, I was told they didn’t have it.

Part of me wanted to believe Bud sent everyone rushing there to gobble up all the Possum Peckers, but reality says otherwise. I don’t even know if they actually make this pie in-house or if it comes pre-made. The answer was always, “We’re expecting more on Saturday.” Then Saturday would come… still no pie.

I tried this for five weeks straight. I could literally show you my phone log as proof. Same result every single time.
