They are exactly what they advertise: they have a full espresso bar menu, and a full frozen custard shop menu. You can get the full suite of standard custard shop menu items (specialty and to-order sundaes and concretes), as well as the standard espresso bar menu items (espresso shots, and both classic and in-house specialty items). They also serve breakfast baked goods (scones when we were in), and had hand written signage for breakfast sandwiches.
We had an iced 'Milky Way,' and a hot chocolate breve. The drinks were we're far better than comparable drinks from the nearby chains, and prices were fair. Service was quick and friendly.
Place was easy to find off 67 Fredericktown exit, about 3 minutes from the Wall Mart. There is also a drive thru, outdoor picknick tables, and some indoor seating. Bathrooms were clean. Hours on the website say they close at 8pm, but Google says 10pm, so not sure there.
Good for a quick caffeine stop off the highway, or to hang out a bit. If you go here for coffee/ice cream instead of a gas station or any of the nearby fast food places, you will get a very high payoff in quality for very minimal trade-off of extra travel time. Pricees are competitive as well....

My wife and I stopped at the Scoops drive-through and ordered 2 concretes about 25 minutes before closing. My concrete was to be made with chocolate frozen yogurt, and my wife's was to be made with vanilla frozen yogurt.
My concrete was served in fine condition. However, my wife's was runny: the yogurt was melted and was essentially cold milk with the flavors added
My wife took her concrete into the store and asked that it be remade. She watched as they dipped more melted (formerly frozen) yogurt out of a cooler, while other staff was flushing the frozen yogurt machine with water. Mind you, this is still 15-20 minutes before the posted closing time.
If a business is going to post opening and closing hours, it has an obligation to its customers to provide goods and services in good condition during those business hours. If Scoops is going to shut off it's frozen yogurt machines and not sell a decent product before closing, it needs to advertise that fact to it's potential customers and close earlier.
Perhaps the ownership of Scoops should post a responsible manager in the store to ensure a consumable product during its posted...
Read morePretty good! I enjoyed my cashew and caramel concrete. It was very pretty, but I felt like I missed out on eating some of the caramel because they used it to paint a swirl on the inside of the cup (which was what made it pretty), and it was not as easy as I would have liked to scrape it off with the plastic spoon that was provided!
Besides that, it tasted good, it melted well (as in it was creamy and not thin and sloppy), and the cashews were either whole or in nice big chunks.
I used the drive-through, where you actually order at the window where they serve you, and I was the only customer in line at 5 PM on a Friday, so service was quick!
If you are concerned about such things, neither of the workers were wearing a mask when they came...
